This secluded, historic 1920s hillside retreat is set on a breathtaking, Aspen-lined 34-acres just 30 miles southwest of Denver, Colorado in the foothills of the majestic Rocky Mountains. Filled with beautiful antiques, the lodge features a cavernous yet cozy living room for lounging around, a family-style dining room for feasting, an industrial kitchen, seven bedrooms with seven ensuite bathrooms, while the property offers a multi-level deck, outdoor hot tubs, and a hiking trail. The space The ideal backdrop for creating new memories. The great room and dining room can easily accommodate game night, family-style meals, and long conversations. In between hiking, hot tubs, music, and saunas, there's a little something for everyone. Our kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, appliances, utensils and a few cooking essentials from honey to spices. Keurig coffee machines are stationed in the kitchen and kitchenettes. We also have a BBQ grill on site. In the winter, baseboard heaters keep the rooms warm and in the summer, opening up the windows will bring in a fresh and cool breeze. Attached to the lodge is a multi-level deck with romantic string lights and plenty of patio furniture. Below the deck is a tabletop fire pit, chiminea, Adirondack chairs, picnic tables and a chair swing, and in the meadow are yard games like frisbee golf, cornhole, and horseshoes. The property also offers a 1-mile hiking trail and frequent deer and elk spottings. Guest access Hiking: our private trail takes you through the woods to the top of the plateau where you will discover a stunning panoramic view of the mountains. Outdoor and indoor games: after a hike on the private trail, play a friendly game of cornhole, horseshoes, or frisbee golf. Hot tub and dry sauna: for the wellness-minded, there are three hot tubs for soaking and two private saunas for steaming. Fire pit: on chilly nights, enjoy the cool mountain air next to the tabletop firepit. Sit under the romantic cafe lights, build your own s'mores, and take in the beauty of the Colorado night sky. BBQ: a BBQ gas grill is available for cooking up a meal outdoors and enjoying it on the patio deck. Full kitchen: the kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, appliances, utensils and a few cooking essentials. Fireplace: to use the fireplace in the grand room, please coordinate with the host or the caretaker on the property ahead of time. Other things to note Wildlife: surrounded by meadows and trees on 34 acres of land, Meadow Creek is frequented by the likes of local wildlife like deer, elk, birds, bobcats, bunnies, and chipmunks. Deer and elk roam the property right in front of you and are visible from the large windows inside the lodge and cabin. We have a resident black bear and mountain lions are known to roam the area so do be careful. Hunting and fishing is strictly prohibited in the area. Please be kind and respectful to the wildlife visitors on our property and in the area. TV's and Wifi: The grand room has a Smart TV with access your favorite shows and movies. Individual rooms do not have televisions. Additionally, the Wifi signal may be weak since we are located in a mountainous area. Music: Stream your favorite tunes in the grand room by connecting to our Sonos Wifi connected speakers. Things to Do: for day-trip adventures from Pine, there is plenty to do and see from ice fishing in Evergreen to rock climbing at Garden of the Gods. For ideas and recommendations, please check out the recommendations in my guidebook. Caretakers: there are caretakers who live in a separate house on the property. They will always be available to you but will not be entering the lodge during your stay.
