Room for rent in beautiful Overland Park!

We'd love to have you stay with us when you visit Kansas City. Our home is 5 minutes from 435 highway, with easy access to downtown. There are grocery stores and shopping areas within minutes. I do have 2 VERY friendly cats , so you must love pets if you choose to stay with us! We feel fortunate to have many return guests whom we now consider friends. Each time we host, we feel like we learn something new and make wonderful connections. The space Although you will have access to the entire house, you will find that your private room is stocked with many things you need to be very comfortable. It is devoted entirely to YOU! A small coffee maker is provided in the room, but you are always welcome to come down and use my coffee and tea station in the kitchen. Our home is warm and inviting. We are very health conscious, so I recently had a whole-house air filtration system set up. We also had a whole-house water filtration system set up as well! So you’ll be breathing clean air, drinking and bathing in water that is actually good for you! We love socializing with our guests, so if you choose to join us at the table for dinner, great! If you'd rather be on your own, we will absolutely respect your privacy. Just let us know how we can make your trip the most enjoyable for you! * My teenage son lives with me, and it’s important that we are both able to have a quiet sleeping environment. If you plan to be out SUPER late each night and coming in at odd hours, we might not be the best fit for you. We don't mind people coming in late if they are quiet and respectful. Guest access We have a living room and kitchen that you’ll share wih us. I have a washer and dryer on property that you may use. We are very careful about toxic chemicals, so you will need to use the Free and Clear detergent that I provide. During your stay I enjoy socializing with guests if they want to hang out. We are pretty relaxed and love having people to talk with, eat dinner with, etc... but we can also give you your space if that’s what you prefer! It's your vacation, so make it exactly what you want. If you have special needs or requests, just let me know in advance and I will try to accommodate you. For example, we have a Keurig in our kitchen, and I'd be happy to make sure I have your favorite flavor on hand before your arrival. Other things to note We have a fabulous back yard where you can relax. Our small fire pit is perfect for making s’mores or just enjoying a drink by the fire! If you feel like cooking outside, we have a stainless steel grill. Now that it's so cold with this crazy Kansas City weather, you may want to join us as we light a fire in the living room fireplace. Tyler loves making s'mores, so he welcomes any excuse to make an event out of us lighting the fire! * Please, respect our house rules and understand that we cannot have people staying out late and coming back to the house in the middle of the night.
