Cottage with seaviews

The cottage has been a much loved family space for over 50 years! It is an historic, early Georgian, grade II “cob” built cottage in the heart of old Appledore’s winding streets, full of artisan crafts, food, art and music. Literally less than 1 minute from the quayside and easy access to The Burrows and Westward Ho! Beach. The cottage is small and charming, just as it should be. Guests provide their own linen and towels due to lack of local laundry services. The space The cottage is quaint, comfortable and cosy. For those bringing a dog or small children, a screen can be found behind the sofa, it's fits nicely in the front door frame so door can be left open. Appledore has a variety of pubs, restaurants and takeaway food. There is a strong arts and crafts vibe. There is plenty of free parking but also a nearby car park which offers very reasonable day/weekly rates. You can park outside the cottage to off load your bags but in consideration to neighbours, please park up elsewhere. In nearby Bideford, you’ll find supermarkets and shopping outlets. Guest access The cottage is for entire use of guests. You can pull up tight below cottage window to unload your car, it's easiest if dustbin is moved onto the doorstep first. Other things to note Dog owners please read house rules. Guests will need to bring their own bed linen for a king size and 2 single beds, bath towels, shower mat & tea towels. This is because of the difficulty in maintaining a laundry service whilst keeping the price friendly. WiFi speeds average 39 Mbps download & 9.5 Mbps upload. The cottage is inspected before each new arrival to ensure it’s clean and beds, quilts and pillows are guest ready. Safety note.....the stair ways are steep compared to a modern house and we’re unable to fit a stair gate so toddlers will need supervision. Unfortunately there is no freezer but Hockings icecream van is just a skip away and local grocers and restaurants are on your doorstep. TV remote control on/off button doesn't work...please turn on/off via the plug switch. The shower on/off button has been broken please use the power pull cord to turn on/off. The rubbish is collected once every 2 weeks from metal bin outside. Please use recycling facilities in Churchfields carpark. Tassimo coffee machine, please bring your own pods.
