Chocolate House is an oasis, apart from the busy-ness of life. The house is fully furnished with many amenities, including black out blinds. It started out as shed and ended up as a comfy house. There is a garden mosaic and a resident outdoor cat. Discount sometimes available for 6 month or longer stays. The wooded area provides space for wildlife and birds as well as for sitting in the woods surrounded by the cycles of life. I invite you to make use of it when you can. Learning and personal growth experiences may be arranged through your host for an extra cost. These include: a unique experience with creativity and/or music, a trip to a family farm to fork farm, a guided labyrinth walk, self-discovery and vision boards, sand tray exploration and others. You are invited to use the patio and garden spaces, the woods and path. These are shared with Kay and any guests or family Kay may have in her home. I am also able to be flexible and willing to chat with you about specific needs or bookings.. I am available for sharing information or making suggestions to support your interests and preferences. I respect your need for privacy and will follow your lead to spend time chatting over a cup of tea, having dinner together or simply saying good morning and wishing you a good day. Located in the neighborhoods of Grandin Road and Oak Grove, there are coffee shops, Ice Cream and Historic Grandin Village and Theatre. The surrounding area is a mountain haven with opportunities for outdoor experiences and cultural arts activities. You can be as active as you wish or enjoy the stillness that the mountains bring to the area. Nearby Carvins Cove and Smith Mountain Lake offer water and bustling lake action. There is a park within walking distance and a greenway of 20+ miles is within a few minutes drive. I am within a 15 minute drive of everything in the city and yet secluded and private. Uber and food delivery services are available. This is an ideal setting and has room to spread out; the setting is serene, quiet and private while being close to restaurants, theaters, outdoor activities and things you might want to do. The property is centrally located between Roanoke and Salem with most things accessible within a 10-15 minute drive. Cancellation policy is negotiable and flexible for those traveling people whose jobs get switched or changed up at last minute.
