Welcome. Our country cottage is nestled within the beautiful Scottish countryside, on the edge of our family farm. Fantastically placed for exploring Aberdeenshire, Moray, Speyside, the Highlands and all that Scotland has to offer. The cottage is ideal for families or small groups of friends looking for a Scottish country break. Peacefully remote but is still within a fifteen-minute drive from either Keith, Dufftown or Huntly. - free parking - family & contractor friendly - spacious - cosy The space The cottage is set among 1.5 acres of grounds, which also contains the ruins of an old mill. There is generous parking space available with steps through the garden to the cottage. The cottage sleeps 6 people, in three bedrooms. Comprising of two comfortable king-size bedrooms (one with an en-suite) and a twin bedroom. Stepping inside the front door takes you into the hallway, with plenty room to hang up jackets and store boots. There is also space in an outbuilding for storing fishing, ski-ing or other outdoor gear. The kitchen forms the heart of the home, featuring a range cooker, great for cooking meals during your stay. The kitchen is amply equipped, with all the tools to make a Sunday Roast, should you desire. The lounge is a cosy room with an open fire and large windows to view the surrounding countryside and to spy on the local wildlife. A conservatory is set off the kitchen and provides a great space to relax and connect to the garden, while still being sheltered from the Scottish elements. Within less than a hours drive from the cottage you could be dipping your toes into the sea on the Moray Coast or rambling in the Cairngorm mountains. The local area has a wealth to offer, surrounded by whisky distilleries, great food, rich history and beautiful scenery. Whether you decide to kick back and relax or explore the surrounding area, we take pride in making you feel at home in the cottage and hope you enjoy your time visiting the local area. Other things to note Mobile phone signal can be patchy within the cottage on some networks (however some may find this to be a great way to switch off and make the most of relaxing on your break), a better signal can be obtained by moving into a more open area on the property. WiFi is provided throughout the cottage and calls can be made through WiFi calling on the majority of smart phones. While the main house is situated all on one level, there are steps from the car park up to the cottage, steps at the front door and also from the kitchen into the conservatory.
