This modern farmhouse, decorated and furnished like it came out of a Pottery Barn catalog, can host a large family get together or friendly event. with all the comforts of home. With 5000sqft inside, 2000sqft of patio, a POOL, and over an acre of land “Wayne Manor” is the private event space you've been looking for. Wayne, IL is 40mi west of the city and a short Uber ride to the commuter train, the Metra. It’s a very doable drive but allocate an hour and half during rush hour. The space - EVENTS ONLY : No overnight stays. Time in and time out is negotiable. Two weeks of lead time is needed to book weddings or events with rentals. Sizeable parties can be accommodated, currently priced for 50 guests. Common areas are available including kitchen, bathrooms, and several shared spaces. Yard is over an acre, and pool can be used in season. Great for small outdoor weddings, family parties, baby showers, graduation parties, etc... Indoor potential to seat 40 depending on event, outdoor 200+! (See details for additional fees based on head count.) - POOL! 12’ deep in the deep end, 3’ deep in shallow end. Diving board, slide, and a safety fence for the kids. Plenty of chairs, tables, and a day bed. Heated and always warm! (Typically kept at 89 degrees) - 2.5 BATHS available for use - Large vaulted GREAT ROOM with fire place, set up to comfortably seat 12, but furniture can be relocated (for a fee) and at least five 8 top tables and chairs can be brought in, or folding chairs set up with an aisle to seat 30 - 40. - GOURMET KITCHEN, with double oven, 6 burner stove & griddle, COFFEE BAR, stocked pantry, and a farmhouse sink. Refrigerator/Freezer will be cleaned out for your party needs. Perfect for your family meals, or to hire in a private chef. (Options available upon request.) Barista can be hired for an additional fee. - MUD ROOM is decked out and ready to accommodate, coats, shoes, towels, whatever is needed for your party needs. Washer/dryer available for use if needed. - 65” TV, 55” TV, 42” TV, Smart Home TECHNOLOGY, WiFi is free and we can send you the code when needed. TV s are streaming many apps, but you will be charged 115% for any movies or pay-per-view rented. - Two communal EATING AREAS indoors with tables that seat 6 - 10. Kitchen also has bar that will seat 4 comfortably. - LOUNGE area in the basement available. Great for overflow or a kids hang out (toys will be available). Also, there is another full bath in this area. - MASTER SUITE available upon request. This will open up a 2nd full bath and a quiet area for babies to rest or have private conversations. Not for sleeping unless a little one needs a nap. Please don’t use the linens. - CHICKENS! What farmhouse is complete without chickens? You don’t have to feed them but they’d appreciate it! You’re welcome to their eggs, at least three a day! If they happen to get out they should let you pick them up and put them back, but they’re fast! - We love to host and are always a phone call, text, or IM away! Guest access - Everything is yours to utilize, EXCEPT rooms that are locked and off limits. Please enjoy your event, we just ask you take care of the home as if it were your own, respect the neighborhood, and keep the noise at a moderate level. - $1000 fee if any locked areas are tampered with. - Parking arrangements can be discussed before booking. Driveway will accommodate about 10 vehicles. Street parking is allowed as well. Some parties have used their own valet service, which is highly recommended if more than 20 vehicles are expected. Garage will remain locked and off limits. - The pool is GREAT! Please enjoy responsibly. No glass bottles or cups near the pool. Do not touch the pool mechanicals. If you have a problem just call us and we can send over a maintenance man or talk you through it. - The chickens are friendly but if provoked they will scratch or peck. They will remain in their coop. You can hold them but be gentle, and if they get out you’re responsible for putting them back. They are pets and not for eating. Eggs are great to eat, but wash them first! Other things to note The details of your event will need to be known before booking. Happy to assist in planning however we can.
