A cook’s and family’s perfect getaway in beautiful Southern Vermont! We love to cook - and if you do too you’ll love cooking in this open floor plan while friends play games or read in front of the fire. In addition to fully stocked pots and pans you’ll find high-end cutlery, cast iron skillets, a paella pan, slow cooker, waffle iron, blender a Webber BBQ, Nespresso machine, French press and drip coffee maker, along with all of the utensils, spices and herbs needed for a gourmet meal. The space Enjoy Vermont living at our beautiful, scenic home. Located at the base of Magic Mountain and the entrance to Jamaica State Park we are ideally situated for all of your winter, fall or summer activities. Take our sleds out to the hills behind the house or put on your hiking shoes in the summer and fall and head to some of the numerous trails around the house, include Lovell Lake, Hamilton Falls and Hapgood Pond -- all within a 10 minute drive. While we love taking advantage of the outdoors, we also love having all of the conveniences we're accustomed to. With a major grocery store (with a great cheese, wine and beer selection) only 10 minutes down the road we never have to be without some of the luxuries we take for granted in the city. In addition Manchester is only 20 minutes away with great outlet and specialty shops and spas for the taking. The house was remodeled in the Fall of 2018 with a brand new full bath, radiant heating, new wood burning stove, dishwasher, washing machine and kitchen additions as well as brand new mattresses, pillows and linens on all beds. And the reclaimed wood floors were refinished in the spring of 2019. You'll love the view from the master bedroom as you wake up to the sounds of nature and views of Stratton mountain outside the floor to ceiling windows -- and the little ones will love the built-in bunk beds complete with story books and toys. We keep the home fully stocked with the essentials, linens, coffee (a Nespresso Machine, French Press and Drip Coffee Maker), tea, hot cocoa, pancake and waffle mix, oatmeal and cooking spices. We also have Dish TV, Apple TV and high speed Internet. This isn't a full-time rental property, we only rent occasionally, so you'll find many items you'd expect at your own home while here. In addition to the food you'll find plenty of games and activities to keep the fun rolling as you enjoy each other's company at this beautiful location with a well maintained and loved family home. Enjoy our home just as we do -- with all of the comforts you'd have in your own house at your convenience and upon your arrival! Guest access You'll have full access to the home with 2 bedrooms and a full bath with separate tub and shower on the 2nd floor and 2 full bedrooms and a full bath with washer and dryer on the ground floor. Each floor has one queen bed and one bunk bed and is designed to accommodate 4 adults and 4 children. This is a family home shared amongst siblings and we designed the home so that two adult families and their children can spend fun weekends together. Other things to note If you love to cook and enjoy family and friends you'll love the soapstone sink and counters along with the gas range. For coffee lovers you’ll find an assortment of Nespresso Coffees, a French Press and Drip Coffee Maker. There’s also a fine assortment of teas and hot chocolate waiting for you in the cupboard. The house is equipped with high speed internet, Roku, Sonos speaker and plenty of games and books to relax with.
