Welcome to your home away from home in beautiful Denver! Our charming, cozy suite is the perfect spot for anyone looking for a taste of local culture. With vibrant plants and stunning artwork, you'll be immersed in the Denver vibe from the moment you step inside. This rental is located in the front half of our owner occupied home. We live on the backside of the house. Locking French doors separate the two spaces. You have complete privacy with a separate entrance, but may hear us occasionally. *We are a married couple who live on the opposite end of the house, which is separated by locking French doors. We have a separate entrance in the back. We also have a very sweet pooch named Rocket. He is a Corgi/German Shepherd mix and quite friendly, but you may hear him bark upon your arrival.* This plant filled suite has three bedrooms and one full bathroom. Each bedroom has a queen bed with cotton sheets and a cozy down comforter. A kitchenette, dining area, and living space in the suite ensure you’ll have everything you need for a relaxing stay. Should you need anything at all, we are just a quick message away! We are always happy to help and strive to ensure you have the best experience possible. Beautiful walking/bike trails and a city park w/ lake are just blocks away. Public transportation available at the end of the street. Liquor store, several food options, and gym within walking distance (~5 blocks) Each bedroom has a smart TV, ceiling fan, and tower fan. You are welcome to adjust the thermostat (located in the living room) to your comfort level, but please be mindful as it controls the entire home. Extra blankets can be found in the closet of each room as well. The kitchenette is equipped with - A full-size fridge - Microwave - Two burner cooktop - Pot & pans - Cooking utensils - Toaster - Water cooler/heater - Keurig w/ compostable pods - Plates, bowls, glasses, silverware -Disposable/compostable cups, plates, bowls, and plastic ware The private living room has: - A leather couch and comfortable recliners - Smart TV with several streaming apps - Old School Nintendo NES with dozens of games - DVD player with ~ 20 DVDs - HDMI cable to hook up your own device - Nintendo Wii The front porch is all yours to enjoy as well and has two rocking chairs for ultimate relaxation. You are welcome to partake in "Colorado activities" on the front porch. Please do not smoke anything inside. Access to the basement laundry room is available upon request. If you are a musician, this space is for you! Our full music studio in the basement is sure to impress and entertain. Ask about our recording sessions or a tour from TJ to check it out! Music is occasionally practiced in our basement, but quiet hours are always respected between 10pm and 7am. We will send a message at least a couple hours ahead of time if we expect to have music rehearsal. We also have a nonprofit that provides music education to underprivileged youth, but we are not conducting in home lessons right now. Note: We strive to use eco-friendly cleaning products when possible. You won't find any harsh or intense scents in our home. We also recycle and compost, and do what we can to reduce our total environmental impact. A portion of your stay directly funds our non-profit services which include sustainability and gardening education along with music lessons for everyone, specifically underprivileged youth. We appreciate your support! Guests have access to three private bedrooms each containing a queen bed with 100% cotton sheets and down comforters, as well as a ceiling fan and tower fan. The private bathroom has a full tub and shower. Guests also have their own living/dining room. A refrigerator is all yours to store food and beverages. The kitchenette contains most anything you may need for meals, coffee etc. There are French doors that separate the front and back of the house that we keep closed and locked to allow you more privacy. Should you like to use the laundry room, it is available upon request. We love meeting new people, but also respect your privacy. We will be around and are always happy to provide advice on the area. We have a private entrance in the back, so you have the entire front side of the house to yourself, but you still may see or hear us or others coming and going outside from time to time. Our home is situated in cozy Harvey Park just south (15-20 minute drive) of downtown Denver. It is a quiet, family friendly neighborhood with a large park just two blocks away. There are plenty of great places to grab a bite, there’s also a gym, a community center, as well as other great Colorado amenities located nearby. Downtown is an easy 15-20 minute drive or Uber/Lyft ride, or there is a bus pickup at the end of the block as well as a light rail station about 2 miles away. 15 minutes to Red Rocks. 15 minute drive to the foothills for less intense hikes. The mountains are about a 45 minute drive to the west, so you will likely want a car to trek deep into them. The airport is about 35-60 mins away (from just about anywhere in Denver) depending on traffic. 2 hours to beautiful Buena Vista and Twin Lakes with some of the best scenic views! Our home contains a music studio. You may hear music from time to time. We will send a message should rehearsals take place during your stay. General quiet hours are 10pm-7am. We have a friendly corgi/german shepherd mix named Rocket. You may hear him bark occasionally. 420 friendly outside only There is free on street parking, please do not park in or block the driveway. Street sweeping occurs on the 3rd Tuesday of the month. Please be respectful of the thermostat as it controls the entire home. The front door smart lock automatically locks after two minutes.
