Located near historic downtown North Wilkesboro, The Moravian Falls, ski slopes, mountain trails, lakes, and the cities of Boone & Blowing Rock. Hear the sounds of the stream from the covered back patio. Sits off a mountain road in the blackfoot hills. New bathroom! The space Authentic log cabin with a newly renovated bathroom. The new bathroom has a rain shower! The property sits on about 1 acre of land complete with a rushing stream which you can hear from the back screened-in porch. You are free to walk down to the stream and make use of the two small sand beaches and large rock on the stream. Some love to sit, read, or picnic on the rock or mini-beaches. The bedroom has a very comfortable queen bed with a sealy mattress. It's brand new. Brand new pillows, one type memory foam, the other type a plush support pillow. There is a view from the bed to the back woods and the running stream. The bathroom has been remodelled and includes a rain shower, sink and toilet with a view to the back woods and stream. The living room includes a propane fuelled fireplace with a real fire which is connected to and set with the thermostat. It has two VERY large comfy chairs with a foot rest. The living room also contains a small dining table set for two, yet can expand to include room enough for four people. Just lift up the sides and set it underneath the tabletop. The porch has two comfy sitting chairs and also a small outside dining set for two. We only allow up to 2 people to stay at the cabin, yet you can have two more over for a visit or for dinner. Just keep in mind the cabin is tiny because it is a real frontier cabin that has been upgraded with modern conveniences. The TV is connected to a firestick. Our property is located in a forested neighbourhood inhabited by wildlife. Though we treat the exterior & interior to keep out pests including insects and mice, snakes; this is a reality of nature. (We’ve never had a snake right near the house tho!). So we recommend keeping the back porch door closed when enjoying the covered porch. Critters can get in otherwise. Our space may not be a fit for those who are extremely phobic of these and other wildlife. You will see deer often, occasional wild turkeys, there are raccoons who eat black walnuts nearby, and other such wildlife. Also, please do not bring your pets. There will be a 200 dollar cleaning fee if we see that someone has broken the house rules in this way. Sadly, people have brought pets when it is not allowed and there has been damage. Guest access Guests have their own parking spot on the property next to the cabin. It is a short walk to the front door. The property sits on a country mountain road. Other things to note The TV has a firestick which you can use to log into your Amazon account. An Amazon account is free and it gives you the option to sign up. You can then access all the apps like Netflix, Hulu, Disney, etc. but you need accounts for these. There are other apps you can use for free like local news, live TV, etc. The kitchen has a new Keurig Coffee maker which also does iced coffee. We do not allow children.
