The cottage is located on a sheep and cattle grazing property in the Central West near the small village of Goolma. Built in the 1880s, it is renovated for accommodation and perfect for cyclists and people wanting calm quiet tranquility without the distraction of a tv. It has 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a laundry, a living room with a wood stove and lots of books and a kitchen where guests can cook their own meals. There is no wifi but those who have Telstra phones will be able to be online. The space The cottage was built in the 1880s and was derelict for 60 years but has been recently renovated. It is very comfortable with one bedroom with a double bed and a second bedroom with two single beds. There are also 2 fold up beds which can be used either on the screened-in verandah or within the cottage. The cosy living space has a wood stove and comfortable seating. The fully equiped kitchen has a table that seats 6. The bathroom and laundry is accessed from the verandah. The verandah is partially screened providing space for dining and sleeping. The cottage has an enclosed grassed yard with a bbq and outdoor seating. The yard is fully fenced with a bbq and outdoor seating. There are piles of books to read, country lanes to cycle and walk, a verandah to enjoy the country views and starry nights. It is a peaceful place to relax and enjoy the sound of silence without the distraction of tv. The cottage can also be used as a base for exploring the area as it is 20 minutes from Gulgong, 30 minutes from Mudgee, 40 minutes from Wellington and an hour from Dubbo. The cottage is located on the Central West Cycle Trail and is perfect accommodation for cyclists. Guest access The cottage is located a couple of kilometres from the small village of Goolma which has no shops. The cottage is accessed by driving along a dirt road through cattle and grazing farmland. Guests can enjoy the quiet countryside and country lanes. As this is a working property, it is absolutely essential that any gates remain closed. Other things to note The kitchen has basic supplies and tea/coffee making supplies. Dinner and breakfast hampers are available if ordered 48 hours prior to arrival. There are no shops in Goolma and the nearest shop is in Gulgong, a 20 minute drive.
