A former Rectory dating from 1862, Penmachno Hall is set in over two acres of private grounds fronted by the Glasgwm River. Situated in the Snowdonia National Park, four miles from the tourist centre of Betws-y-Coed, Penmachno Hall offers the opportunity to be within easy reach of all the major tourist attractions, whilst at the same time enjoying the seclusion that the largely undiscovered Glasgwm valley has to offer. The space When you stay in Penmachno Hall you will be the only guests in the house. The hall, stairs and landing are shared with the owners. The two-bedroom apartment features a lounge-diner with small separate kitchenette leading to the Yellow Room en-suite bedroom. The Blue Room en-suite bedroom is accessed via the shared landing. The spacious lounge-diner has two leather tub chairs and a two-seater sofa with large windows affording views over the garden to the river. A dining table with four leather chairs is situated at the opposite end of the room. Hand-crafted Sheesham wood furniture includes a sideboard (containing a large selection of crockery and cutlery), coffee tables, dining table and TV console which house books, games, DVDs, CDs and tourism information. The 32″ smart TV has a sound bar with Bluetooth connectivity, FreeSat TV channels, an Xbox One and a selection of games. Wifi is available throughout and is free of charge. The separate kitchenette, with views over the Machno Valley, has a two-ring hob, combi microwave/grill/oven, small fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher, slow cooker, coffee machine, kettle and toaster. Pans, roasting dishes, utensils, mixing bowls, chopping boards etc are all provided. Dishwasher tablets and washing up liquid are included. Bedroom 1 - Yellow Room – king-size double bed with bath (no shower) This room is accessed directly from the lounge-diner. With its 5ft sleigh bed and matching furniture, the Yellow Room is decadently furnished with luxurious burgundy and gold velvet throws and cushions. The en-suite has views over the Machno valley and is fitted with an original Victorian cast-iron roll-top bath. The room has views to the back of the house over fields to the forested hills. In season the visitor may observe newborn lambs, spectacular sunsets and the occasional Red Kite. The room features a 24” SmartTV with Freesat, CD radio alarm, hairdryer, iron, bathrobes, heated towel rail and shaver point. A convector heater is supplied for particularly cold nights and a fan for hot weather. A large selection of Gilchrist & Soames toiletries is provided as is a well-stocked beverage tray. Bedroom 2 - Blue Room – twin or super-king bed with shower This room is accessed opposite the lounge diner across a landing shared with the owners. Situated at the front of the house, the Blue Room is furnished with a window seat affording views over the gardens and small weir to the hillside beyond. This room has a super-king (6ft) bed but can be reserved with twin (2 x 3ft) beds with advance notice. All carpentry in the room was handcrafted by a local joiner to blend in with the original features. The spacious en-suite, with walk-in shower cubicle, also has views to the front of the house. This room is equipped with a 26” TV with Freesat, CD radio alarm, hairdryer, iron, bathrobes heated towel rail and dual voltage shave point. It too has a heater and fan, Gilchrist & Soames toiletries and well-stocked beverage tray. The garden has a 4 person hot tub for exclusive use of the apartment guests (no pre-booking required) Guest access Private off road parking is freely available.
