Arbizon is a 3 bedroom gîte (180sqm) in a renovated 18th-century bergerie in the picturesque Campan Valley. It is one of 2 gîtes which make up Les Granges des Hautes-Pyrénées. This rental is perfect for sports lovers, with famous Tour de France cols, hiking & skiing (15 min drive to La Mongie) on the doorstep. Also, ideal for visiting market towns, thermal spas & relaxing. Enjoy a wood stove, smart TV, fast WIFi, terrace, bbq & garden. Village 3 min drive & Bagnères-de-Bigorre 15 min. The space With its thick stone walls and tranquil rural setting, this space exudes Pyrenees mountain charm. Inside, it’s a warm inviting space and it is equipped with quality modern appliances to ensure your holiday comfort. It's the perfect base for a family or group of friends and sleeps up to 6 adults in 3 bedrooms with zip and link beds, which can be set up as super-king or twin singles. Note: A baby travel cot, bath, high chair and stair gate can be provided upon request. Provided for your stay (free of charge): Bedroom - quality cotton bedding with all beds made up for your arrival. Please just advise us of your requirements ahead of time. Bathroom -fluffy towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap and toilet paper. Kitchen - oil, pepper, salt, a few spices, tea bags, sugar and coffee beans. Plus some cleaning products such as detergent, dishwasher tablets etc. Lounge - a supply of wood for the stove. INSIDE: Downstairs you'll find: *A large open plan lounge, kitchen and dining area. *The generous seating area in the lounge is centralised around an efficient wood stove. With plenty of comfortable seating, it is a great social space and perfect for a movie night with Neftflix, Apple TV, Youtube etc available on the large smart TV. * Dining table - seats 6 (can be extended to sit up to 12 people). * Kitchen - large gas oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, raclette (2 types), fondue equipment and a new quality coffee machine (bean to cup) available for use. Upstairs you'll find: * 3 generous sized bedrooms with quality cotton bedding, mattress and topper for a restful night's sleep. The main bedroom has an ensuite bathroom, and the other two share a bathroom. A dresser, wardrobe stand, hairdryer, mirror, bedside cabinets and bedside lamps complete the bedrooms. * The bathrooms all have a rainfall shower/handheld combo outlet, sink and toilet. OUTSIDE * Enjoy dining outside on the terrace at the front of the gîte (facing south east). A gas bbq and sun loungers are also here for your use. * A picnic table and a hammock is located in a higher area in the shared garden. Here you have beautiful views of the neighbouring mountains (rising to 1600m altitude) to the side and behind the gîte. * Alternatively, enjoy dabbling in the stream which runs alongside the property. This area is very popular with children in the summer. Guest access * 3 bedroom gîte - Arbizon. * Private terrace with outdoor dining furniture, parasol, sun loungers and a gas bbq. * Large garden (shared with other gîte guests) with picnic table and hammock. * Inside a separate utility room there is a dedicated bike storage space (up to 6 bikes). Plus a washing machine, iron and ironing board for guest use. * Parking for up to 4 cars. Other things to note Your hosts (Natasha and Kev) live in the building next door with their twin babies, 2 dogs and cat. Their house faces a different direction from the gîtes and is behind a row of trees. It has a separate garden, terrace and parking area. During your stay, you may encounter our friendly cat Rasta as she likes to explore and say hello! We keep our dogs away from children and in our fenced garden. A nice restaurant is located just 400m from the gîte. This is open during the tourist season. Sainte Marie de Campan is the closest village. This is a 3-minute drive or 15/20 minute walk. Here you'll find a mini supermarket, bar, bakery, pizzeria and another local restaurant.
