This is the smaller of 2 bedrooms available in a lovely grade II listed Weavers cottage. The cottage is in a delightful hamlet just a few minutes drive from pretty Honley and charming Holmfirth. Easy access to local stations and less than an hour from Sheffield, Leeds & Manchester! There’s a renovated barn, double stair cases lead to mezzanines above a huge second living room with beamed high ceiling and a large wood burning stove. Available by special request. See other Oldfield listings The space Barn Cottage is a lovely retreat in a tiny friendly hamlet. There’s a warm welcome and two beautiful log-burning stoves and a generous range in the kitchen. The bedroom is small but suitable for guests who only want to stay a few nights, or who don't have much luggage. In addition to the shared shower room, kitchen there are three living areas so plenty of space to find peace and quiet. The barn is available by special request. Everywhere has recently been renovated so Barn Cottage benefits from olde world charm and a touch of quirkiness and also benefits from a kitchen with everything you need, including space in the fridge for your food. Guest access There is parking available on the main road which is only 2 minutes walk away. However, if you have mobility issues I can find a parking spot for you. During your stay I am usually available to help guests settle in. I am happy to have a chat but also understand that sometimes guests want to enjoy some peace and quiet. So very easy going on interaction. There is also key box available to ensure that guests can access the property of I am not available. Public Transport Locally there are two train stations Brockholes and Honley but arrange a taxi from them in advance as it's a steep walk from both. There is a regular bus service to Huddersfield and Holmfirth (the 308) through the village but a car is useful to explore the local amenities or to commute to towns and cities. The hamlet of Oldfield is less than an hour from Sheffield, Leeds and Manchester! As the hamlet is such a small community ,it is very important that guests respect the neighbours. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming so it’s a lovely place to stay.
