The Lodge 44a - nr. South Downs N. Park. No Fees!

The Lodge 44a (refreshed in 2025!) is purpose built, STEP FREE, accessible, semi-detached bungalow (shower is NOT wheelchair accessible) on the edge of Worthing a short walk from the National Park. Consists of a King-size en-suite bedroom, very well equipped kitchen, cosy and comfortable lounge/diner/utility room with additional toilet/high end washer/dryer. It has every home comfort, 55" OLED TV incl. full cable & streaming TV. Free off street parking. Own front door. Very fast (secure) Wi-Fi. The space Please note: Due to very poor public transport links (directly from The Lodge area - one bus every 90 mins between 8am and 6pm and NO Sunday service!), we strongly recommend that having use of a car is an essential! Please take note of this before booking if you are reliant on public transport. Many thanks. The Lodge (semi detached Bungalow) was built onto our existing home as an annex for a disabled relative in 2016. The Lodge has been fully and lovingly redecorated and restyled, and was launched as an Airbnb in Spring 2022. We aim to provide a comfortable relaxing home-from-home. As it was purpose built for a disabled family member, it is fully accessible, is step free and all doorways are standard wheelchair width. You have private access and your own free parking space right outside your door. We have storage facilities for bikes, mobility scooters & golf clubs - plus charging facilities. We now offer a range of pillows starting from our standard soft/medium to Simba support, memory foam core, and full memory foam contour pillows. Due to lack of storage space in The Lodge, extra pillows are stored elsewhere, but please request a change of pillow if required. Blackout/Privacy vertical blinds have now been installed in both the bedroom and Lounge windows. This is mainly for daytime privacy and shading. Curtains will still be in place. Guest access You will have sole and exclusive use of the entire place. There is an internal door between The Lodge and our main part of the building, but this will be kept shut and locked at all times during your stay. You may see us coming and going as our front door is near yours and the driveway is shared, but we are very friendly! There will be plenty of room for you to park and turn round, as long as we all park sensibly :-) Other things to note Please be very aware that The Lodge is for a MAX of 2 ADULT guests ONLY. We do not accept children (on blow up/pop up beds of any sort). This is part of our Local Authority Planning Permission/Consent. We also do not accept any pets/dogs except guide/assistance dogs. Please read our full House Rules for more information. Thank you. PLEASE NOTE: Although the property is fully accessible for STANDARD size wheelchairs, the shower is NOT wheelchair accessible. You have to be able to physically transfer from your wheelchair, through the sliding shower door, onto the freestanding shower seat. The Lodge is not suitable for oversized manual wheelchairs, larger electric wheelchairs or mobility scooters within the property. (Electric wheelchairs have to be no larger than standard sized wheelchairs to be accommodated inside the property.) PLEASE NOTE: We do NOT have the available space in the shower or bedroom for any hoists or specialist lifting equipment. If you cannot self transfer from your own wheelchair, unfortunately we are not the correct property for you due to limited space restrictions.
