Our cosy open plan studio is located above our large garage which is located within our grounds on the banks of the River Severn on the edge of Shrewsbury. This studio accommodation is perfect for exploring Shrewsbury and the beautiful local area or simply sit on our banks for private fishing. Whatever your interests, we are a short walk from the gastro pub, Mytton & Mermaid; the National Trust property Attingham Park; It’s an 8 minute drive to the town centre or Meole Brace golf course. The space The Studio is one of 3 accommodations at Keepers Cottage and is perfect for a short break. This delightful open plan studio apartment is located above the garage and has its own entrance. There is also the main house and a separate annexe on the same site. There is a fully fitted kitchen/dining area and large en-suite shower room. In the kitchen, there is a fridge, microwave, oven and hob. The studio is centrally heated and there is a TV and free WiFi. All cotton bedding and towels are provided as well as tea, coffee and basics such as washing up liquid & toiletries etc. In the Studio there is a king size bed and a sofabed so can sleep 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 small children. A travel cot is available on request. A maximum of one dog is welcome to stay. FOR WORKERS & CONTRACTORS The Studio is a great alternative to a hotel for contractors & professional people. • Ample, secure and lockable parking suitable for vans and vehicles with tools or equipment • Space to cook, relax and unwind after .Ideal for mid-week, full-week or multi-week projects, including work in Shrewsbury or Telford. The nearby county town of Shrewsbury offers a wide selection of shopping opportunities and eateries to choose from but we also have a fantastic local pub, The Mytton & Mermaid within walking distance. The National Trust property, Attingham Park, is also very close by in the village. There is a local cafe just 10 minutes walk away in the Salop Leisure site, see love-plants. co. uk There are lots of activities which you can try locally. There are a large number of beautiful walks in the area and the Severn Way runs along the bottom of the garden. FISHING Being located on the banks of the River Severn, the property benefits from fishing rights so you can sit and fish from our own banks during the ‘open’ * season. (please bring your own fishing equipment). *Closed season is from 15 March to 15 June which is when you cannot fish for coarse fish on any river in England and Wales GOLF For golfers, Meole Brace golf club is 5 minutes away by car. The club is a municipal 12 hole parkland course and is very popular locally so booking is advised. Guest access There is a beautifully maintained garden with the River Severn running along the back of the garden. You can admire the far-reaching views of unspoilt countryside from the rear garden. The garden is also shared. The general public have access to the Severn Way at the bottom of the garden so you may see other hikers passing occasionally. There is ample parking for several cars or vans on the large driveway which it shares with the adjacent main house. This is a strictly no smoking property. Other things to note *There is a staircase to climb and therefore the studio is not suitable for people with limited mobility. *The studio is at the front edge of the property boundary and close to the road so some traffic noise may be heard, especially on weekdays. Earplugs are provided. *We have a strict no smoking policy. * One dog is welcome for a small fee which must be booked and paid for on initial booking. Dogs are strictly not allowed on the furniture. *There is no fencing between the garden and the river so dogs and young children must be supervised at all times. *The general public have access to the Severn Way at the bottom of the garden so you may see other hikers passing occasionally. * You are near to wild life habitats. You may encounter insects, field mice, bats and other creatures sharing our countryside location.
