No Pets, please! Franks' Farmhouse is on the corner acreage of our family orchard, Ecker's Apple Farm. Winters, springs, and summers are peaceful and quiet at the farm. Take your morning coffee on a walk through our apple trees. The house is in close proximity to our orchard market and beer garden which is open late August through November. Frank's Farmhouse is small and quaint. We must emphasize that Frank's holds 6 people, maximum. Children count as people. The space is an old, family farmhouse with 2 small bedrooms on the main floor (1 king and 1 double). There is a small, steep staircase leading up to a communal loft. The loft is completely open (you will hear each others’ farts) with 1 king bed, 2 doubles, and 1 twin. WARNING: WiFi is spotty. Welcome to country livin’ folks! No cable either! Since Frank's Farmhouse is on our orchard, you are free to walk the grounds. We do ask that you are respectful and stay out of our out-buildings and off our farm equipment. Safety is a must. My family and I live on the farm so one of us is always available to meet you, answer any questions and provide assistance! Location is amazing! Perrot State Park -less than 10 miles Hiking, biking, canoeing, kayaking, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, and enjoying the beautiful Mississippi River inlets. Trempealeau, Wisconsin - 7 miles Quaint, sleepy town right on the Mississippi. Fabulous supper clubs: Beedle's Bar and Grill, Sullivan's, and the Hillside Fish House. Also, the Historic Trempealeau Hotel specializes in locally grown, sustainable, culinary delights and offers live music every Thursday and Saturday night - Closes each January Winona, Minnesota - 10 miles (25,000 people) Great Mid-west town: coffee shops, delis, grocery, bars, restaurants, music festivals, theater, shopping The best way to get around is by car; however, you can take a 5 mile bike ride to the Trempealeau Wildlife Refuge, or hook up with the bike path along the way and ride into Perrot Park. Chill get-togethers are cool but no parties. Frank's is a small house with limited resources: 6 guests is the max. Children over 2 must be counted in this number. Packing in more guests is too hard on the septic system. Thanks much!
