Mariposa Retreat near Yosemite

House is located in the historic Gold rush town of Mariposa, California. A Yosemite gateway community. You will be staying in a 1600 sft home in .48 acre. It's a 40-minute drive to the Yosemite National Park boundary. The wild & scenic Merced River is along the drive to Yosemite. A mere 15 minutes drive to the Merced River for swimming. fishing & picnicking. Downtown Mariposa is within a walkable distance. The space The house is a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house situated on .48 of an acre. Coffee and tea are provided. Sit outside and enjoy it. The big windows and patio doors offer a view of the surrounding area. Wild turkeys, deer, and other wildlife can sometimes be seen around the property. You can listen to the birds and the breeze blowing through the Oak trees. The master bedroom has a big window that offers a view of the outside and has a bathroom with a shower. The second and third bedroom has big windows with the view of the trees. A second bathroom is easy to access from the living room/kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with what you need to make a hearty meal. With big windows/patio doors and a high ceiling, it has the feel of open space. There's a guidebook and other Yosemite books in the living area for your reference and reading enjoyment. The stargazing is so beautiful. It is an amazing drive along the wild & scenic Merced River. Be ready to take extra time for a photo stop. Guest access A lockbox code will be provided on or before check-in. This is private property. Please respect your neighbors and don't trespass onto the neighbors' property. We also stay in this house certain days of the week when we don't have a guest(s) and have personal belonging that we keep in the house, so please don't access or open doors mark private. Thanks so much. Other things to note Please do include children in your guest count if they are part of your group. So that we may properly accommodate you. We provide free internet, however, we do not guarantee the reliability of the system due to our rural area! We do have a brand new DSL hooked up to the house. Remember this is a rural area! This is not the city. If you can't handle being in the rural area and what comes with it (i.e. bugs, bats, scorpions, bears, mountain lions, harsh weather conditions, floods, rock slides, fires, earthquakes) then you may want to prep yourself before coming to Yosemite. Nature has a lot to offer, rivers, sunsets, hiking, wild animals and flowers, beautiful mountain views, and fresh air! Come on up! Relax and enjoy your home away from home.
