Chalet is cosy, on woodland edge with little garden, in area of outstanding natural beauty. Well placed to explore SW Cornwall. Site v good for dogs and I welcome pets. Nature rich. wired wifi. Is a comfy home from home to help guests relax; echo friendly. On the John Fowler St Ives Holiday Village in season, you can pay for onsite activities, esp kids/ n facilities £70week or short break + VAT/chalet), indoor pool, pool table, shop n restaurant, woodland play area w swing/zipwire. The space Chalet is run by myself, and is like a home so ideal longer stays as well as homely short stays. Well priced off season breaks suit working breaks. (For short stays please understand I still need to charge change over fee as it takes 9 - 10 hrs to clean and do linens, but am very happy if my diary allows for you to arrive early or leave late, just ask; thanks!.) Well behaved Pets very welcome. Site is Super good for dogs. Larger dogs welcome, room enough to wag tails! Wifi is on hardwired on site system, I opted for premium service. For holiday working, if there is an outage you can use Wifi in main reception area or you are welcome to use my wifi in Newlyn, 30 min drive (I have Cuthbert, a big friendly dog who lives in the kitchen.). The John Fowler Holliday Park site has woodland and lower valley meadow, with moss covered boulder, fern rich steam with buzzards and ravens on site is very beautiful/special with rabbits and squirrels seen from chalet. Very Suitable for summer holidays for families, larger well behaved dogs welcome. Characterful Kitchen was rebuilt by me, reusing materials, with scenic private woodland view, is well equipped to suit home cooking with herbs n spices, good quality AEG electric cooker for those who like to cook, and microwave. There is plenty of room for you to put your own things, with washing machine and dehumidifier and airer to dry clothes, n fridge w small freezer section. Outside pick-nick table and little garden catches afternoon/evening sun. CHILDREN: Well behaved 5 years of age is lower age limit on children staying (am happy for very well behaved younger children to stay, please ask). The comfy Antique Master bed is from the Kings Arms Pub in Paul, I have extended it so if you are tall you can still fit! With roomy wardrobe to suit longer stays, plenty of room under beds for luggage. Second bedroom has bunk beds, with good mattresses, with bookcase and antique writing bureau, to suit a bit of holiday working. Plenty of bedding if you prefer sheets and blankets to duvets, and comfy cushions. In the living area one of the two sofas pulls out in front of the other to create a very large double bed (extra bedding on top of wardrobe in case bunk beds too short for taller guests). There is a Readers Direct standard lamp (high spec. natural reading light). Cottage kitchen style table for dining, a wide selection of crockery, some hand made, glasses and silver plate cutlery, functional, happy mix of retro and antique furniture and soft furnishings, loads of books. Have generous selection of maps/guidebooks and good rainy day book. With board games etc. Wetsuits can be hung up outside using black cast-iron hangers on brown supporting post of porch (plastic coat hangers behind front door). I try to run chalet in echo friendly way: homegrown flowers and treats from my organic garden. I Wash linens on hygiene setting n air dry laundry, then hot press linens n towels for guests peace of mind. I have electric panels at home n use some echo friendly products. Guest access Site has good access about a a mile from the main A30 roundabout to St Ives is well placed to explore South West Cornwall, and near the StErth mainline train station. Once on site there are two choices for parking, both of which entail walking on a slope but from the main carpark is quite steep and uneven. It is easier via rear carpark which is a shorter walk about 15 meters and a more gentle slope. Placed quietly on the edge of the John Fowler Holiday Village, in season (Covid permitting), you can pay for onsite facilities (£70+ VAT/chalet /lower chargesfor short break), heated pool (bookable at reception on arrival), waterslide, life guard, pool table, crazy golf, free wifi in bar, shop, laundrette and restaurant. Good in season bus services including open topped touring service. Site is well placed to explore the South West of Cornwall. View from kitchen overlooks picturesque woodland with immediate access to on site woodland walks (you have space to breath it is not crowded), leading to a long meadow with streamlined valley, upper waterfalls and woodland play area with large adult sized swing, zip wire and kiddies play area. There is a picnic bench in front of the chalet with a mini garden looking onto a shared grassed area, woodland and other chalets. Site is rich in wildlife, bunnies, birds, butterflies and moths etc. Other things to note Local standard supermarkets: Hayle: Aldi, Liddl and Marks &Spencers with out of hrs Boots. Penzance: Morrisons, Sainsburys, Tescos. St Ives: Co-ops n Tescos. Lots of local specialist food places. Waitrose in Truro! Well behaved children of 5 Years of age is the lower age limit, I can have some flexibility on this if parents move things out of reach etc. Choice of two paths to my chalet have a slope from the carpark, one is fully paved, about 100 ft long. I have refurbished the chalet using mostly an eclectic mix of retro reused materials, all bedding, towels etc are provided, with throws and extra choice of bedding; all the pillows and cushions are feather/down. Beds have duvets but I have provided blankets and extra sheets if you prefer a sheet and blankets. Extras: I normally provide a vase of flowers from my garden, if you would like the chalet to be brimming with home grown flowers please message me for more details. I grow my own organic veg/fresh herbs, and am happy to offer any surplus to my guests.
