The Shine main house is the perfect place to relax, refresh, and enjoy the beauty that Uganda has to offer. Situated right on the Nile River, the house features a spacious, comfortable, beautiful & relaxing space within a secure compound. We are a short drive into Jinja town and a short boat ride to go kayak or stand up paddle board the Nile. You also are welcome to enjoy our many fruit trees, relax in a hammock chair, or join a game of football with the kids that gather nearby to play. Guest access We love to share our personal home with others when we are away. The Shine main house has 6 bedrooms & 5 bathrooms. The home features 3 living areas, a balconies overlooking the Nile, dining for 12, and a kitchen with full size fridge, clean drinking water, gas stove, and cooking essentials. House has both 110v & 220v for American & Ugandan electrical outlets and a generator for the rare times it is needed. High speed WiFi. The downstairs features movie projector if you’d like to bring your favorite DVDs. American faucets and wall fans throughout. Outdoor fire pit and kitchen. Basketball court, swingset, and many avocado, mango, and jackfruit trees. 2 Master suites both have en suite bathroom and 1 has a private balcony. There are kitchen essentials provided. Eggs, bread, fresh fruit and tea are available for you to help yourself in making breakfast. We do have an excellent cook who could shop, prepare, and serve dinner for an extra fee if arranged in advance. Other things to note This listing is a base price for 6 people and increases per person, per night thereafter. All guests must be paid for prior to the stay. ***If more guests are staying than approved & paid for, the charge for each of those guests will be $80 per person, per night.*** We have a strict no pet policy. Bringing a pet may forfeit your stay without refund. There is no TV. We also are in the village. Power and water are *sometimes* not readily available. We do have a generator if necessary. Our staff is amazing and will do everything possible to make your stay comfortable.
