The Inn at Alpine's End is a uniquely styled private 1940’s suite with breathtaking views of Nederland’s rolling pine and aspen dotted hills. This rental is for the guest portion of the home located on the basement floor (via stairs/separate entrance) surrounded by Arapaho National Forest with Barker’s Reservoir 100 yards below. Soak in the hot tub with snowflakes falling, under a starry night sky or a summer wind blowing, or relax after a day of skiing in front of a cozy wood-burning stove. The space This private retro-styled suite is the entire walk-out basement with a private hot tub (surrounded by wilderness - who can beat that?!) just feet from the door and deck with grill. This space includes windows with a lovely view of the reservoir, a kitchenette, spacious living room with a brand new 43" TV, and a bedroom with sitting area. We have attended to every detail, from atmospheric lighting from room to room, to retro-styled modern appliances, to high-speed Starlink internet. There's plenty to do here: snowshoeing, skiing, and snowboarding at Eldora ski resort (fifteen minutes away) in the winter; And during the summer months; hiking and mountain biking trails just outside your door or eating at one of our independently owned, fantastic restaurants. Year round there are board games, books on all that Colorado has to offer, puzzles and murder-mystery games, boundless art supplies and guided adult projects and classes in pottery and art. There is little better in life than lounging in this cozy space (or on the deck! or in the hot tub!) after a great day of skiing or hiking, and watching deer and moose graze nearby or hearing the water lap at the private cove (easily accessible via our winding thyme-covered stairs). If you're lucky you'll catch a glimpse of the local fox. Just keep in mind that if a moose or bear comes lumbering along, do not approach them! They are gorgeous but dangerous beasts. Important: Check in is 4pm or later. Checkout is 10am or earlier. No early check in or late checkouts. - No smoking inside or outside - - No parties or pets - - Quiet hours are from 11pm to 8am - - lost remotes to TV or heater are $250 - - 2 car & 4 guests max. Sofa in living room pulls out to accommodate two people. - Accurate guest count is mandatory. - Emergency laundry services are available for $10/load. Otherwise, there is a laundromat in town. - We are on a dirt road, so AWD, snow tires, or 4WD recommended from October to March. When booking, assume my husband and I will be here -- but also understand you'll have your own private space with separate entrance. You probably won't see us unless you need us, and we give guests privacy. The BNF (our local grocery store) is also 7 minutes away but if you need a toothbrush or something is amiss we are happy to help. Local trail maps are provided but please take a picture so that others can access them too. Note that cell phone and internet access is limited once you leave the property but we are close to downtown Nederland. Please honor the speed limits (15 mph) in our neighborhood. There is no AC but no need at our altitude (8,300 feet). Temperatures are comfortable - even on the hottest of summer days.
