Description

A former shipping container set on a working farm near the Rame peninsula, which is an area of outstanding natural beauty, with stunning views of the local country side and even the sea. A selection of beautiful beaches such as Whitsand bay and Downderry a few miles away. Relax in the evening in your own wood fired out door bath, the perfect place to appreciate the night sky. A great location to explore from. We are a site under development with a 2 more farm stays available soon. The space Rosies retreat once was a shipping container converted into a luxury eco friendly stay with the intention of allowing you to get back to nature so no tv or Wi-Fi. Heating provided by wood fires and electricity provided by our on farm wind turbine Guest access There is a separate entrance and car park to the farm entrance, there is a short walk across a field to get to your accommodation you have your own hot tub on a private decking area. Unfortunately if you have mobility issues it may be best to message me before booking as the field access, some steps and high bed might be an issue Other things to note The hot tub is wood fired, and takes around 90 minutes to heat up depending on how you manage the fire. When heating it up you need to pack as much wood as possible in the stove and keep adding it while occasionally stirring until at your desired temperature, 40degrees is quite hot. Some people find it easier than others but should you have difficulty we are always happy to help. I provide a reasonable amount of wood but should you need more you can purchase it from the farm or local shops This is is an off grid/ back to nature type experience on a working farm, there is livestock and lots of wildlife life about, and we actively encourage wildlife diversity in the area. There is also occasional the need to use machinery but we keep that to a minimum and in reasonable hours so not to disturb you There is no tv or Wi-Fi The space is heated by a log burner, through winter some insects, particularly wasps hibernate in the wood and wake up when brought in occasionally you may find them.
