The tranquil property is surrounded by Live Oak trees, Pecan trees and Camillias. The area is wonderful for bird watching and stargazing. If you need a break from the everyday, this is the place to come. The space This 2-story home was once a hunting lodge. Now it sits on an active farm with beef cattle and tobacco. It's the perfect place for family, friends or solo travelers to rest and enjoy nature. The remodeled kitchen has top of the line appliances and is fully stocked for all your culinary needs. Enjoy the clean open concept living space with comfortable furnishings including a 55" TV! Upstairs are 2 bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms. Both bedrooms are complete with new mattresses, top of the line linens and towels. The back garden is an enjoyable space to birdwatch, read or rest in the hammock. We have a resident Bald Eagle on the property. If interested, we can show you the nest! The home is located 30 minutes to Georgetowne, 45-1.5 minutes to several beaches, 10 minutes to the famous Backwoods Quail Club and 10 minutes to Black Mingo Portage for fishing or kayaking. Guest access You have access to the entire house and back garden. There is a fire pit with chairs in front of shed available to you. You are welcome to walk the property and bird watch or watch the cows if they are nearby. Please keep a respectful distance from our house. You can walk your dog in the area around the shed. Other things to note There is a $25 per person/per night fee over 4 guests. The owners live on the property and are available to answer questions or make suggestions. One of the owners is a massage therapist. If interested in a massage, please contact. Dog must be crate trained if kept inside while you are away. We have an outdoor kennel for your use. No dogs allowed upstairs. There is a dog gate in mudroom to block stairs.
