Traditional rustic artists home with large 1/2 acre garden in the village of Isfield, 5.5 miles from Lewes. The perfect base to explore South Downs National Park, Ashdown Forest 'Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty', the historic town of Lewes & other attractions on the sunny south coast. Wild swimming on the River Ouse are just a short walk away, or relax in the garden, lounge in a deck chair, have a cuppa in the treehouse or BBQ some sausages from the neighbouring farm shop in our firepit. The space Our house is one of a pair of semi-detached cottages in the lovely rural village of Isfield, next to a farm shop, and five minutes walk from the River Ouse. The house is arranged over 3 floors; with an open plan kitchen, living and dining space downstairs with a large inglenook fireplace with woodburner and large French doors opening onto the garden. Upstairs are 3 bedrooms and the bathroom, which has a bathtub and separate shower. (PLEASE NOTE that the loft bedroom has a low ceiling -1.9m at its highest- and therefore may not be ideal for the taller guest!) The half acre secluded cottage garden includes treehouse with slide, firepit for summer barbecues, a detached garden studio and a spacious open air barn space with table tennis table and dartboard. Happy to accept well behaved dogs by arrangement Guest access There is space for one car in our private driveway and additional cars can be parked on the roadside verge adjacent to the front garden. Other things to note . Please note that this is a super-rustic, old cottage, with some low doorways and low head height in the loft bedroom, so taller guests will need to mind their heads!
