Lara is an elegant retreat located on the second floor of the villa's annex. Access is made unique by an attractive internal sandstone staircase that leads from the parking lot directly to the property. Nestled in the park and featuring private outdoor spaces, the apartment offers privacy and tranquility, with the added bonus of our beautiful swimming pool surrounded by olive trees. The space The Lara apartment (approximately 50 square meters) is located on the second floor of the villa’s annex and welcomes you with the warmth of a traditional Tuscan residence. The entrance is via a distinctive internal staircase in pietra serena stone, which leads to a space arranged on a single level, featuring beautiful ceilings with wooden beams and exposed brickwork. The accommodation consists of two large rooms: Living Area: A spacious room that houses the dining area and a modern, functional kitchen, complete with an induction cooktop, refrigerator, and microwave. Sleeping area: A very large and bright bedroom, furnished with a queen-size bed (160 x 190 cm) and a twin bed (80 x 190 cm), ideal for a family or a small group of friends. Bathroom: Comfortable and equipped with a shower, bidet, sink, toilet, and washing machine for guests' use. In line with our philosophy of hospitality, at Lara we have also chosen not to include a television, prioritizing quiet, reading, and connection with the natural surroundings of the park. Guest access The Lara apartment is located on the second floor of the annex and is for the exclusive use of guests, as is the outdoor relaxation area at the bottom of the entrance staircase. In addition to your private spaces, you will have full access to all the amenities of Agriturismo Il Maggese: Swimming pool (5 x 11 m): Surrounded by pine and olive trees, with private sun loungers for your relaxation. The Park: A large, centuries-old garden where you can take a walk or read in the shade. Bicycles: Available free of charge to explore the beautiful Val di Chiana. Parking: Free and on the property, located right in front of the property's entrance. Other things to note Relaxation Philosophy: By choice and as a matter of philosophy, there is no television. We invite you to enjoy the peace, tranquility, and beauty of our property. Swimming pool (5 x 11 m): An oasis of peace surrounded by pine and olive trees, shared with other guests of the property and equipped with private sun loungers for your relaxation. Breakfast: Upon request, we serve a hearty sweet and savory buffet breakfast (€14 per person). Dinners at the Villa: We offer exclusive dinners featuring home-style cuisine and zero-km products (to be booked the day before, €40–€55 per person, wine not included). The Park: A large, centuries-old garden for common use, perfect for taking a walk or reading in the shade. Bicycles: Available for free to all our guests. Parking: Free and on the property. Accommodation Tax: The Municipality of Cortona charges €2.50 per person per night for the first 4 nights (children under 12 are exempt), to be paid in cash upon arrival.
