Plus a futon couch that doubles as a full/queen bed. Great room for friends or siblings traveling together! Pastoral backyard & easy transport anywhere! Your own private room! Feel free to use the outside gas grill, picnic tables, fire pit. The space Hand made bunk beds (circa 1950) - back when a 2x4 was actually 2" by 4"! Futon sleeper sofa - makes a nice bed in a hurry! Great reading chair, large windows on two sides of the room. Desk for study or writing. NEW Bathroom with Rainfall shower and washer/dryer right outside the room in the hallway. Bright and Happy room! The best neighborhood in DC! 1 block from Metro buses, short walk to Friendship Heights (redline) Metro train station, eateries and shopping everywhere - but the house is tucked into a wonderful, quiet neighborhood. Hosts are always available to guests. The family lives and works on and beside the property. Access is only a call, knock or text away. LOVE this neighborhood! Could not ask for better neighbors or better location. Within a block, you will find Metro bus and rail access. Cabs are just a walk down the street to a major thoroughfare. Uber is very available and affordable. Also, a lot of people use Car2Go cars, which are parked all over the neighborhood. We are dog lovers but understand that some guests may not be. Therefore, our little dog (Truman) is not allowed upstairs. Thanks for understanding! Guest access Guests will be given a code to access the digital lock on the front door at arrival. Guests are invited to use the backyard grill and picnic area for dining and entertaining. Or sit by the fire pit telling stories? Or rock on the big front porch and watch the dog walkers go by. During your stay Guests are greeted and given a walkthrough and help with the digital front door lock. There will be water, fresh fruit and a breakfast bar (Kind, Odwalla, etc.) for their breakfast. We are always available for questions, help, directions, Other things to note We have a little black terrier that lives with our family in the living room portion of the house. He may be found running around in the backyard at times. He is not always friendly to strangers but also would love to escape if you leave the gate open. Just make sure it is shut behind you.
