Description

PEACEFUL/ADVENTURE CAMP experience! (Boston to ME, 3 hours.) Streaked Mtn. Hiking Site! Winter snowmobile trail, ski, bikes too...closed to types of vehicles that dig up the gravel road though. Old Great cabin now a unique, 3 unit cabin deep up into the forests! Go hike East/West side. 1/2 hr ..explore 360 degree Mt. top views or go down to, when in season, the waterfall+historical places. Also read the off grid Glamping ME. Camp listing in Buckfield Maine too. ..Both same “Fun in FUNky”cabin!! The space Off Grid: Mountain Camp Upstairs Unit: Sweet for a person or a couple for simple woods camp use like a night, week end or a week stay....for private outdoor fun and adventure! (Can drive in now to the cabin! My son drives his Van in, parks it, hangs a hammock. cooks and sleeps in his Van) ...Or many potential other uses like the following list: Use it as a Writers UNBLOCK Retreat! Rent for a week, week end or a month or more. There is a library. Quiet and Woodsy location! View from the cupola see the sun rise.. Look all the way across Maine to the East Coast! A really cool totally outdoorsy, back country kind of place! Another Idea: Fat bikes are Off road bicycles with fat, balloon like tires. Rent bikes in Norway, Me. ....Can also Park on MacCallister Road .. bike up onto Streaked Mtn off season too. Then bike into this mountain camp location...you could plan a group to do Fat bike gatherings.. or a treasure hunt, competition ride week end with your group (possible to arrange ahead of time) and explore the mountain roads. Someone could start a training camp of any kind and use this place as a base camp. Next idea: Right boots, warm gear,, etc...sleeping bags .. larger groups. Haul stuff in toboggans in the snow season and bike or back pack only (40 minutes walking) less than two miles in winter, wetter or dryer seasons. Owner or staff goes with you as guides. For agreed upon concierge service fees, will help you with or do the cooking, dishes and cleaning up so you can do more outside fun activities or just rest. The site is OFF Grid with no running water. Owner trains you how to eventually run the wood stove and the safety systems. After well trained about the cabin systems, and you like it, you can return with your friends, without a guide. Sleeps 6-8-10. Many different space use options: Other group use ideas: Group retreats, maybe think of this site as a sober retreats site or "sustainable living project's" site training as well as being a 4 season personal RETREAT space just for you! Also a great place for teenagers or put it down- phone addicts to learn about and have an "off grid" experience with their family. Or are you needing a big break from the rat race? This site/place can calm you down! It is so far quiet and peaceful at the cabin.( Please use ear pods if doing music around others. ) Owner started building the site at age 22, knows the back woods trails and can get you an official Maine Guide if you want one. MEDIA : Methods Encouraging Determined Individuals Alternatives! “We aim to rest your Toes while you rest your Soul.” Inside the cabin space you rent is one small kitchen area, 1 double futon, 1 Q “green avocado mattress” bed alongside a 7 foot window, a long twin floor mattress, plus one short, single floor mattress next to a window and a short, single foam mattress next to a window. Tons of room for tents in the field. The cabin sits on a five acre field! You rent the entire upstairs, Q, D, S beds plus there can be additional space rental with the Downstairs Unit (Additional price) as well. Trudy strictly runs the wood stove (Until someone is well trained) and stays in a 3rd Unit 's soundproof, quarters with her private entrance, apartment like area out back called "down in the rabbit hole!" (In winter we all use the same door sometimes due to ice and snow conditions.) Surround deck. Fire pit. 20 minute hike to summit of Streaked Mountain. Highest mountaintop in Southern Maine with a 360 degree !view Guest access Guests experience the north country type of "Great Outdoors in Maine"with a shorter ride from Boston to this camp. Horseback riding country or Truck, X country, Hummer, ski, Hike, dirt bike, Mtn.bike, Fat Bike, or 4 wheel into to the camp site with gas lights, off grid, water in jugs, and outhouse/pee pots kind of Glamour camping experience. If you are new to this sort of thing...this private, mountainside camp is a great little training ground for getting ready to head North to a deeper huts/woods experience of Maine. You use the upstairs, Trudy and team operates while downstairs. Everyone says it is a really cool place.... For an old " retreat" cabin. We are fixing it up right now. It has decks. We are creating 6 huge raised beds and a hot tub bathing space. Join the projects. The Mtn is a fun place to plan a treasure hunt. Could sleep up to 10 with planning. Trudy and team can cook etc. The 3 bedrooms are studios with kitchenettes. Real fun is The Cabin's cupola that VIEWS across Maine to the Camden Hills. A great reading, writing meditation nook. Plus a real "treat"... for the "CASTLE TOUR" and we could send you to a "fabulous surprise" for the last night of your stay! (600 additional fee for the Castle Tour.) During your stay Sound proof exta quarters ( well pretty darn quiet enough.) - For Host to stay at the cabin in their own quarters. The Rabbit Hole Room/ host quarters are the original, old cabin built, inside North of the "now surrounding cabin." This place is the FUN in FUNky truly out of the box, unique quarters. The cabin entertains you. Stay in or stay outside. Always something to do...or just sit and read or write! Or go FAT BIKE the trails if you do not want to walk! If you do not want to cook either, Trudy can/will cook for you while you take off outside playing during the days. Socializing per couple or group is not done unless initiated by the guest. Trudy and team definitely keep the fire, water system, and the cabin's operations happening until she is sure her guest is fully trained about this site's ways and means. You are not alone in the dark in the woods in a strange place. The mountain team makes sure you are well adjusted. Wonderful old and very FUN in FUNKY CAMP Mountainside!!! Other things to note Would rent long term or for months for a sustainable/permaculture living site.
