In the Jardin du Val

In the original Airbnb spirit, a real family home has been made fully available to you during the summer recently. Still surrounded by its two barns, it was a farm for centuries, but the place has been completely renovated... A place of rest nestled in the beautiful Dordogne Valley. Unlimited access to a huge family pool from your large private "beach". The space It's a house inhabited outside the summer period when we decided to rent it from time to time. (When the house is rented, we move 2 km away, above the village bistro that we host with concerts and conferences) Cabinets and wardrobes are cleared to leave enough room for tenants for their personal belongings! The house can be divided into two parts, with a small apartment that can communicate or not with the largest part of the house. In the small apartment, a large bedroom overlooking the garden, with a desk and a wood stove in the fireplace, a double bed (140 x 190), plus a second small bedroom with antique wooden bed (110 x 180) and a desk, a kitchenette and a large bathroom with bathtub and toilet. In the second part of the house, upstairs a bedroom with double bed (140 x 190) and its private shower room, a second large bedroom with antique wooden bed (130 x 185) in which you can add a bed on request, then an open mezzanine with sofa bed, shower room, independent toilet on the landing. On the ground floor, the house is traversed from the garden with the morning sun to the sheltered terrace to the west, through the living room-library and the traditional farm kitchen (large central table, fireplace, open kitchen). If you occasionally receive friends, the comfortable sofa bed on the mezzanine (140 x 190) can accommodate an additional person or couple, but the space being open, it would not be very pleasant for a long time. The house is therefore ideal for two families, with its two large double bedrooms, and the other two bedrooms plus the mezzanine adaptable according to needs Guest access I share the pool property with my brother who lives in the same village. The large wooden deck of the pool on the garden side (20 x 4 meters) is reserved for me, and I make it exclusively available to my tenants. You can also go swimming on the sandy beaches of the many lakes that are nearby and enjoy their facilities (games, slides, pedal boats) or swim in the Dordogne river that surrounds us, and which also offers trips by barge or canoe descents. Other things to note You will have access to all the amenities of the house as listed, with high-speed internet access (fiber), plus a laser printer, a video projector, and a TV (many channels are available via the freebox). You can bring your own sheets and towels, but I can also provide them for a small extra charge. Tenants are asked to return the apartment in the condition in which they found it.
