Some say you can't go home again, but Ritta's Back-Home cottage proves that wrong. Light and airy but warm and cozy when it's cold, it is a welcoming place to land in the heart of the West Eugene neighborhood. The space Built in the 1930s, this solid, light-filled house features wood floors, coved ceilings and vintage touches throughout. Located in a leafy neighborhood west of downtown, Ritta’s Back-Home Cottage is only a few blocks from a park, a neighborhood grocery store, a bakery, and a short walk to a variety of wonderful and eclectic restaurants. The EMX rapid bus line is right down the street and can whisk you away to the university campus and back. Downtown is only a hop, skip and jump away. High-speed wifi is available. Living room Relax in the light filled living room on the new couch or on one of the comfortable Stressless recliners. A swivel mounted flat screen Roku television is easily viewed from any seat. Air conditioning is in place during the warmer days of spring until the cool days of Autumn. Bedroom The bedroom has one comfortable, queen-sized bed with duvet bedding. There is a fold back sofa-bed in the living room. Bathroom The full bathroom is located off the bedroom. It is supplied with the essentials, including items you may have forgotten. It has a bath tub and a shower. Kitchen Enjoy preparing meals in the fully equipped kitchen. Fresh ground coffee and cream, along with an assortment of teas, are provided for your enjoyment. If you’re like me you’ll need your popcorn in the evening. We’ve got you covered. Laundry The utility room includes washer, dryer, laundry soap and a space for hanging clothes. An ironing board and iron are also provided. Street parking is available and convenient. The driveway to this house is not available. There is a lock box where you will find a key to the house. I will inform you of the location and combination a few days before your arrival. Enjoy sitting on the front porch with your morning coffee and watch the neighborhood go by. The small, private back yard is blooming with flowers spring through fall. I am happy to answer questions and provide suggestions. Other things to note The Cottage is ideal for two guests. It has one bedroom with a queen sized bed. The living room does have a fold down couch which can be used for one additional guest.
