The space Our home was originally built in 1900 to build "Peek & Sons" pianos. In the 1930s, it was converted to a single family farmhouse with horse stables. Today it retains its farmhouse country charm with some original features as well as new, modern amenities. It has original large windows on all sides of the home and receives beautiful sunlight on sunny Bellport days. It is a perfect retreat and getaway for all seasons — summer, fall, winter and spring. Bellport is Long Island’s best kept secret. A peaceful bayside town just 1.5 hours from the NYC and easily accessed via the LIRR, it's a small village with a beautiful marina, shops and restaurants. GREAT FOR COUNTRY CLUB WEDDINGS AND EVENTS -- Our home is across the street from the Bellport Country Club which makes it a perfect location for people coming to Bellport for weddings and other events. Our home has four spacious bedrooms, a large dining room for enjoying a beautiful meal, a large living room with two large couches (which can be used for sleeping) and a welcoming screened in porch — perfect to read a book in the afternoon or to hang out with friends and family in the evening. We have some hammocks that you can hang in the trees on a sunny day. In 2019, we made upgrades to our home, including a brand new 50-foot heated swimming pool (which we will keep open through mid-October), a new central air system, brand new kitchen & appliances and three new bathrooms with new tubs, tile, sinks and fixtures. We have done some landscaping -- and there is a table and chairs outside with an umbrella to enjoy a meal morning, day or night. The house is a 7-10 minute walk to the center of town and another 5-10 minutes to the marina. Or you can use our bike if you need to make a quick trip to the store. The house has ample room for groups and families of all sizes. We use the home and have furnished and decorated it to reflect country charm combined with modern art. The house sleeps up to 10 (three bedrooms with queen beds; one master bedroom with a king bed; living room has has two couches which could also be used for sleeping). Common spaces include a kitchen, a large dining room which seats 10+ and is perfect for a large home-cooked meal, a living room and screened in porch. The dining and living rooms have views of the backyard and pool. We have just put in a new cedar fence around the backyard and are finishing up the details on a brand-new 50-foot saltwater pool. We also have a BBQ grill if you want to cook outdoors. Large refrigerator, dishwasher, oven/cooktop and full sized washer and dryer. We also have towels (bath + beach) and bed linens. Hi-speed wifi and a great selection of books and colorful art which will make your stay comfortable. We have a new 55" television in the living room so you can connect to your favorite streaming devices to watch movies. 90 minute drive from the city. Trains daily from Penn Station to Patchogue and Bellport Stations on the LIRR (about 7 minutes drive to the house) or Ronkonkoma station (20 minute drive). About 15 minute drive from Islip Airport and 1 hour from JFK Airport on the train. 34 miles to Bethpage Golf Several ferries to Fire Island beaches within 10-15 minutes from the house. Guests have access to the full house and yard. We love our house and want to make it as comfortable, relaxed and enjoyable for all of our guests. We're happy to do what we can to help make your stay special -- we hope you love our home as much as we do. Guest access You will have access to the full home, the full yard and pool. You will not have access to the basement and attic (used for storage) or the master bedroom closet (locked) and two small closets on the first floor which are used for storage. All other bedrooms have closets which are fully accessible as well as an upstairs closet and downstairs pantry (fully accessible).
