Peaceful Pocono cabin near the historic JimThorpe

Our cabin is close to Jim Thorpe, Whitewater Rafting Adventures, Pocono Mountain Paintball, Lake Harmony, Hickory Run State Park, Boulder Field Natural Monument, waterfalls, skiing, biking, hiking, fishing, hunting, kayaking, and relaxing. You’ll love our place because of its coziness, retro feel, living room cathedral ceiling, big windows, nature, green or snowy views, quiet, peace, and tranquility. Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and families (maximum 4 people allowed) The space The cabin sits on an acre of woods. The entire cabin is surround by trees, bushes, and ferns. The closest neighbor is "an acre away". You truly are in the middle of the woods. You will see nothing but trees and greenery or fluffy snow in the winter. The spacious living room with cathedral ceiling has 2 couches, 2 IKEA relaxing armchairs, a long table, a fire place, and a 50” smart TV set. (You can sign in to any Netflix, Amazon Prime, YouTube, AppleTV, Hulu, Tubi, Disney, any many more streaming apps or use the Blue-ray player with over 250 great DVDs to pick from.) There is a large ceiling fan to keep you cool and fresh. There are 2 bedrooms. The master bedroom has a double bed, a night stand, a small dresser, a spacious closet, and three large windows. The second bedroom has two single beds, two large windows, a spacious closet, and a night stand. The kitchen is fully-equipped: refrigerator, electric rage/oven, microwave, coffee maker with a reusable mesh filter, a toaster, a tea kettle, a teapot, pots, pans, frying pans, cups, mugs, glasses, wine glasses, plates, bowls, cutlery, and silverware. There is a round table with four chairs to share dinner with family and friends with a ceiling fan to keep you cool and fresh. The cabin has a full bathroom. We provide linens, toilet paper, towels, washcloths, and hand soap. There is a laundry room with a washer and dryer and a large closet. Washing powder is provided. There is a big front porch up and a smaller porch in the back. Each porch has a table and four chairs. You will find a fire pit in the back yard behind the back porch. You can use the back porch chairs to sit around the fire pit. (Our Stake & Grill measures 15" wide x 22" long and includes a 36" long stake. The locking handle easily slides up and down the stake to adjust the heat on your meal and also allows the grill to easily pivot away from the fire for loading and unloading of food). Heating and cooling: there is a 24,000 BTU air conditioner and heat pump in a living that cools and heats the entire cabin. For even more individualized comfort, there is an AC window unit and a potent infrared heater in each of the bedrooms. In addition, our wood fireplace will provide additional warmth and ambiance (firewood is not supplied) There are two portable reclining lounge chairs and two portable folding chairs inside the laundry room closet. Inside the kitchen closet you will encounter a nice selection of board games: Poker and dice games, spill&spell, mentalogy, checkers, Chinese checkers, monopoly, word spin scramble, bananagrams, boggle, Scrabble, backgammon, chess, Great States board game, Gobblet!-game of strategy, and dominos game. Guest access The entire cabin is yours. You can use anything and everything! There is a key lock box on the front porch. Other things to note Other local attractions: many golf courses, Knoebels Amusement Park, Lehigh River Rafting, Pocono Raceway, hiking on Appalachian trail, Lehigh Gorge Scenic Railway, boating and swimming at Beltzville Lake State Park, horseback riding at Deer Path Stables or Apollo Farms. In addition, you can enjoy Pioneer Tunnel Coal Mine, Glen Onoko Falls State Park, Centralia, Yuengling Brewery, Eagle Rock Resort, Pocono Mountain Zipline, Great Wolf Water Park, Eckley Miners' Village, Lake Harmony, Kalahari indoor water park, Dorney Park, Lehigh University, Kutztown University, DeSales University, Wilkes University, Shawnee Mountain, Mount Airy Casino, Hazelton drive-in movie theater, Laurel Drive-in Theatre in Hazelton and the Mahoning Drive-In Theatre! Also, we recommend Old Jail Museum, Asa Parker Mansion Museum, Mauch Chunk Museum, Harry Packer Mansion Museum, Bear Mountain Butterfly Sanctuary, and the Mauch Chunk Opera House. There are plenty of places to eat just a couple of miles away! If you want a more sophisticated meal, you will find it in Jim Thorpe (15 minutes away).
