Description

The Quiet Place 1 is a 1976 ranch style farmhouse built of materials from the land and features a spectacular fieldstone fireplace. The house sits on over 600 acres of forest and farmland. Our nearest neighbors, that have no fur or feathers, are over a mile away. The property has many, roads, woodland trails, for hiking enthusiasts. This is the rental of one of the two rooms available. No additional sleeping pads or air mattresses are allowed. The kitchen in not available for use. The space Our home features one level living, with two separately listed bedrooms with a shared bathroom and is located in a small valley on top of Clark Hill which is surrounded by the magnificent Green Mountains. You are welcome to share our open plan living space with amazing views of Rutland Valley and Okemo mountain. Guest access Guests will have available miles of hiking trails, fields to lounge in, and a home with plentiful common space to enjoy. We are also a short drive to Killington and Pico ski areas and quite near historic battle fields and a Zen garden. During your stay I have traveled extensively within Vermont, North America and abroad. I love hearing of others travels and can share our favorite local spots. Should a guest prefer to explore on their own or time for contemplation, I am happy to honor their preference. Other things to note Vermont has a thriving art community. In West Rutland we have the Carving Studio with many class offerings as well as indoor and outdoor galleries. Rutland has the Chaffee Museum of Art and Castleton College has a gallery in the heart of Merchants Row. There are named shows and productions daily at the Paramount Theater. Rutland Area boast of many fine eateries, most are farm to table and very reasonably priced. I’m an early risers and you may wake to the aroma of freshly brewed coffee, baked muffins and a bit more.
