Tucked into the quaint Monte Rio neighborhood of Villa Grande lies this spacious and comfortable newly furnished home. It sits on a sunny corner lot surrounded by towering redwoods, ideal for both relaxation and exploration. You'll enjoy the cozy fireplace, game room with ping pong table, and large yard with patio, deck and gurgling pond. It's a 5-min walk to arguably the best beach on the River (kayak included!), and an easy drive to everything the Russian River area has to offer. The space Built in 1970 and fully remodeled in the 90s, our spacious 2000 sq. ft. house is modern and attractive. There are skylights throughout the house, which keep it bright amongst the redwoods. On the main floor you'll find the comfortable and cozy living room with large stone fireplace and large eat-in kitchen with full dining room table next to beautiful French doors that open onto the back deck. The kitchen is equipped with everything you’ll need to cook your own meals, including a dishwasher, blender, toaster, electric kettle, coffee maker, and coffee and tea. There are two bedrooms downstairs, one with a queen bed, bay window, and window seat that looks out over our pond to the redwoods beyond. Across the hall, the 2nd bedroom can accommodate 3 young bunkbed enthusiasts (top bunk is a twin and bottom is a full/double) and features a collection of kids books and toys. Between these 2 rooms is a full bathroom with 2 sinks and a shower over the tub. Upstairs is a spacious suite with a king bed, office nook, and another full bathroom (with stall shower). We have a total of 5 beds, including a king, a queen, a twin+double/full bunk bed, & a queen sofabed . All beds have high quality, brand-new mattresses. We also have a beautiful "live-edge" desk upstairs if you’d like to work from "home" and can resist the temptation to gaze out the double windows to enjoy the towering Redwoods swaying in the breeze. Down a few more stairs past the kitchen is a large family room/game room. It has a ping pong table, small air hockey table, queen-size futon sofa, large TV, and of course, a plethora of kids toys, books, and games. There's a half bathroom, one door to the fenced backyard and another to the garage where you'll find hanging a double kayak available for your use on the River, a stand up paddleboard, a washer and dryer (of course), kids’ life jackets, a high chair, pack-n-play, Radio Flyer wagon for transporting kids and gear down to the beach, and more. PLEASE NOTE: Kayak use is seasonal. Approx May-October. You'll love the outdoor redwood seating on the patio in front of the house. (There will be a s'mores basket for you in the kitchen!) There's also a large back deck with picnic table & umbrella, Adirondack chairs and gas grill. There's plenty of on- and off-street parking. The house is a 20-minute drive or less to Forestville, Guerneville, Occidental, Cazadero, Jenner, Sonoma Coast State Park, and Armstrong Redwoods State Park. Come hike, bike, swim, kayak, wine-taste, explore, romp in creeks and play on beaches in one of our favorite regions of California!
