A historic cottage in the heart of Market Drayton

The cottage is close to everything for a work or leisure trip. This makes it easy to plan your visit. Pubs, restaurants, bars and Joules brewery open for tours, a swimming pool with gym and countryside walks are within easy reach. Market Drayton hosts a weekly street market each Wednesday. The town is located within a 20-30 minute drive of larger towns; Telford, Shrewsbury, Newport, Newcastle and Nantwich making it a perfect base for a short break. The space The property is a historical treasure in the heart of the town. Dating back to 1660, the property has sensitively been restored to a high standard. With original beams and a huge inglenook fireplace, the living room is spacious and houses comfortable seating and tv. Also on the ground floor, the large kitchen diner has original quarry tile flooring and all that you will need for a comfortable stay. The downstairs W/C is near the back exit, which leads to a country style courtyard. The first floor houses two large bedrooms, a large built in wardrobe and large bathroom with shower. Guest access The cottage is centrally located and in walking distance of the towns amenities. Car can be used to go to local super markets, Aldi, Morrison’s, Asda or Lidl. Paid parking runs throughout the town other than on supermarket car parks. Parking for the cottage is available on the road through the evening, from 6pm-8am, Monday-Saturday and not restricted from Saturday 6pm through to Monday 8am. Additionally, car parking is in easy walking distance from the pay and display ‘post office’ car park. Other things to note Please notify us if children or babies are in the group. This is so we can ensure equipment is on site. With original floorboards and quarry flooring, expect a rustic feel. The same applies to the small courtyard which has original ‘blue’ brick laid. IMPORTANT: The house is adjacent to St. Mary’s church, a perfect location for any event. However, Church bells can be heard. Wednesday evening is bell ringing, general services on a Sunday am, weddings, funerals and christenings, plus regular chimes through the hour. Ear plugs may be required for light sleepers. Please be aware that with such a central location, pub goers can be heard heading home at the weekend.
