The Creek House Private Home & Scenic Grounds

The Creek House: a fully renovated 1 bdrm, 1 bath home with a full modern kitchen and large new deck situated right next to a year round babbling brook. The creek is 15 feet from the foot of the deck stairs; its sounds lull guests to sleep each night. Frogs, salamanders, crayfish, and all manner of forest life abound. The stream meanders through the mixed park like and wooded parcel ending at a 25’ wide 6’ high waterfall. Antique clawfoot tub. Water may have a sulfur smell (see below). The space This structure built in 1900 was originally used as a hops drying barn. It has been converted into a one bedroom, one bath home with a full kitchen, a small dining table and living room area downstairs. There is also large newly constructed exterior deck with seasonal (April 1 - November 30) seating and dining furniture (table and chairs for 6) along with a Weber gas grill. Wood burning fire pit outside with firewood provided. New fiberoptic cable broadband WiFi. The water supply for the house is well which does have intermittently sulfur smelling water. We provide bottled water for guests' use. The spacious bathroom is located upstairs and has a marble toped single vanity, full size washer/dryer, and an antique clawfoot tub (with a newly installed shower 7/2025). The property is located on a private parcel with a 600 ft driveway leading to the home which is situated very close to the road. A cozy space easily accessible and tucked into the bend of a year round stream (tributary to Bristol's historic "Burning Spring") running less than 20 feet from the foot of the decks' stair. Guest access The property is the whole private house and immediate surroundings including the yard, parking area, stream bed, and park like grounds stretching out from the house along the stream to a small waterfall located on the property. Access is by self check-in using a coded key pad door lock on the front door. Free ample parking. This house is located 10 minutes from downtown Canandaigua, 12 minutes to Naples, 7 minutes to Honeoye, 10 minutes to Bloomfield and 35 minutes to downtown Rochester. Other things to note Super easy to find, park, and access, but not wheelchair accessible. Private but close to the road. No pets. No smoking. Intermittent sometimes strong sulfur smell to the well water. Safe to drink but not tasty. We provide bottled water for drinking.
