Seven Bridges Chapel - Escape the Ordinary!
"The Seven Bridges Chapel" is a former church that has been renovated and updated to include every comfort, while still maintaining historic "church" elements such as stained-glass windows and original maple floors. No detail was overlooked during the renovation of this historic building. With two full bathrooms, a well stocked kitchen, laundry room, one bedroom with sitting area, loft and 2000 square feet of living space, we think the Chapel is an amazing option! The space The Elim Lutheran Church (or Seven Bridges Chapel as it is now known) was built in 1906. No matter how many updates have been done over the years, the building will always be a little bit quirky. We understand not everyone appreciates a historic property. But...if you are someone who does, the Seven Bridges Chapel is a gem! As of October 2023, the Chapel has one dedicated bedroom with a queen sized bed on the main floor, two twin daybeds with twin trundles in the Sleeping Loft and two twin roll away beds that will be set up in the location of your choice (Loft or Sanctuary). We have recently completed the second bedroom in the lower level, which has a queen sized bed and could accommodate a twin roll away bed if needed. There are two full bathrooms and a Butler's Pantry (laundry area), as well as a very large living area with two couches, multiple chairs and large dining room table with seating for eight. The kitchen includes a breakfast bar island with two bar stools. A few things to note; The Chapel has many stairs to climb, both to enter the building as well as to access the loft area. Please be aware of that before booking. The building now has air conditioning. For most of the year the interior of the Chapel is quite comfortable, but it can get a little stuffy on the warmer days. We felt air conditioning would make our summer guests more comfortable. The Chapel has 18 original stained-glass windows - most of which remain intact. For safety purposes, we removed several of the lower stained glass window panels and added modern casement windows. These windows are over 100 years old, somewhat fragile and completely irreplaceable. If you have a rambunctious family or group, you may want to think twice about booking. Guest access Guests will have access to the entire main floor of the building and the loft. Additionally, we have recently completed a bedroom on the ground floor of the building. The remainder of the ground floor ( the former church social hall), has not yet been renovated and is not accessible to guests at this time. It is our hope to complete that renovation project in the future. Other things to note The Chapel has two dedicated bedrooms, each with a queen bed. It also has two twin daybeds with trundles in the Loft area. We have purchased two twin roll away beds which can be placed in the loft, bedroom or great room based on your specifications.
