Escape to Minglewood, a charming 800-square-foot rustic barn turned private retreat. With its soaring ceilings and exposed beams, the space feels open, airy, and inviting. Tucked away for privacy, yet just minutes from downtown Freeport, LL Bean, local restaurants and breweries, scenic walking trails, and only 15 minutes from Portland. The space The great room includes a cozy seating arrangement facing a classic woodstove, allowing you to enjoy a romantic open fire. The queen bed is part of the great room, but the sleeping area is designed to provide privacy and coziness. The great room also includes a futon, which can be used to sleep two additional guests. Extra sheets and blankets provided. Adjacent to the great room is a kitchenette complete with refrigerator, dishwasher, toaster oven, hot plate, microwave and sink. Outside the kitchenette you will find a propane grill for all your BBQ needs. Dishes and silverware are also provided. (please note, there is no oven or laundry) A modern ¾ bath (stand up shower stall with good water pressure). Heat and air conditioning included with amenities. After a long day of shopping, hiking, exploring Freeport, or visiting Portland, Minglewood offers you the unique experience of a home theater. A Roku and projector - complete with surround sound - are available with Netflix, Hulu Live, HBO and other streaming services. Guest access In addition to Minglewoods spacious interior. Guests are encouraged to use the private side-yard. It offers a propane grill on your back landing, a brick patio with a large fire pit in its center, and a picnic table for outdoor dining or s'more assembly.
