The space ▸ The Space Our property was once an enchanting pecan tree orchard, and while many trees are gone, we're lucky to still have three majestic giants that yield plenty of nuts each year. In the warmer months you'll find us tending the backyard garden. The suite sits on the second floor, reached by an exterior staircase (17 steps), and is separated from the rest of the house by a locked, insulated doorway. Inside are two rooms totaling about 200 square feet: a 12 by 12 foot bedroom with a kitchenette, and a 9 by 4 foot full bathroom. Guests also enjoy exclusive access to a 100+ square foot deck (10 by 10) furnished with patio chairs, a table, and a seasonal umbrella. It's an ideal home base for business travelers, professionals, and out of town visitors who want a convenient, comfortable alternative to the typical hotel experience. The suite has its own dedicated AC and heater system, so you control your own climate. A couple of honest notes: the room and deck dimensions above are approximate, shared in response to guest feedback so you know exactly what to expect. The suite entrance is off a spacious deck, a welcoming way to arrive. Step inside and you're in the main room, and just past it to the left you'll find the private bathroom. Check in is self service, using a smart lock with a keypad. We'll send your detailed check in instructions and access credentials through the Airbnb app's check in section a few days before you arrive, so getting in is smooth and hassle free. Other things to note We kindly ask that you be mindful of our two friendly outdoor cats, who roam the property freely. You're welcome to pet and play with them outdoors, but please don't let them inside the house. If you'll be arriving by car, please let us know in advance. We'll do our best to arrange a parking space, though it isn't guaranteed due to size restrictions. The property fits one car or small SUV, up to the size of a Honda Accord sedan or Toyota RAV4. For larger vehicles such as minivans, pickup trucks, or full size SUVs, or for any additional vehicles, free street parking is available nearby on Suzanne Drive. We have two driveways for easy entry and exit. Our street can get busy during rush hour, so we recommend pulling forward rather than backing out. If traffic makes parking tricky, just ask us for detailed instructions or use street parking on Suzanne Drive. Please note the suite is on the second floor, and the entrance is reached by climbing 17 steps.
