Porch gets afternoon/evening sun in fall and winter Electric fire place Board, dice, and card games Unique building all wood inside and out. A couple of friends and I bought this house that was is dire need of repair. I spent 10 months restructuring the back of the house and repairing everything trying to get it back to its original character. The back wall was jacked up 8 inches. The whole floor in the back of the house was removed down to the dirt and replaced. All new electrical work and all new plumbing. The exterior doors have been replaced with modern insulated full size doors. The originals were nearly a foot shorter. I saved 9 out of 11 original windows. Painstakingly removing the glass panes cleaning up the frames and re-glazing the panes in. Most of the panes are 100 year old “rolled” glass. You can see the waves and ripples in them. They may be a little tough to open at times but they do all open, most easily. The front of the house has the original floor with a new coat of paint. The attic is now insulated and vented and the house always seems to be at least 10 degrees cooler during the hot part of the day in the warm months. Because of its location the house gets very little sun in the summer. Ceiling fans and heaters in every room and a luxurious shower heater that blows hot air right into the shower. I love this house and hope you love it too. I’m a friendly person that you can count on for advice on things to do in the area. Maybe even meet up for a little chit chat and a drink if you like.
