Nestled on over 400 acres of land, surrounded by wilderness is Tamarack Lodge. A short 5 minute drive to downtown Old Forge, off of rt. 28 driveway nearly 1/2 mile long. Featuring 4 bedrooms, 1.5 baths, a great room with a fireplace, a modern kitchen with a gas stove, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator and all the necessary cooking utensils plus the beloved screened in porch. Tamarack Lake is perfect for non-motorized activities like kayaking, swimming, row-boating, paddle boarding and fishing. The space 2020 updates include new beds (6 twins 1 queen), bedding, gas grill, furniture and many updates to this classic Lodge making it more charming then ever! Bedding is provided, some bath towels are provided but we ask that you bring swimming towels. The lake is a private family owned lake. Guest access Guests will have access to the Lodge, private dock, wrap around deck, driveway and are welcome to walk the driveway. We have a row boat in the water you are welcome to use. We ask that life preservers, which are provided be worn at all times. Some wood may be provided, but there are numerous places along rt.28 to purchase wood for fires. Scusca Rd has a firewood stand. There is both and indoor fireplace and an outdoor fire pit. Other things to note Garbage should not be left outside or on the porch or you will have unwanted visitors! Kayaks & SUP rentals can be found in Old Forge at Mountain Man. The Moose River & The Chain of lakes also offer canoeing and motorized boat rental options. We do have 2 children Kayaks and 1 adult size Kayak guests re welcome to use. We just ask they get stored back where they were found. Check out is by 10 am. We ask that all garbage be taken with you. The town transfer station hours are posted in this listing. The key should be left in the door. Lights off, heat or ac turned off (except of course in the Fall). Used beds unmade & used towels in the shower. Please take all food with you. Starlink offers internet and TV streaming through our box.
