The Location of my place makes it close to down town on the "L". I live in the home, I want to make sure that you have your own space as much as possible. The location is serene and calm.My house is described as "cozy" and "welcoming". Wood floors, a kitchen with stocked breakfast snacks, coffee, as well as tea awaits. I will be available to assist you prior to your stay. Public transportation is close by, and street parking is available or garage space as well with prior arrangements. This Beautiful brick home has a Living room and dining room that is available for you to use. The available bedroom is Spacious and is on the main floor of the home. This listing has a shared full bath, spacious kitchen, and hardwood floors. You can have access to the laundry room in the basement if you are saying more than three days. If you are renting a car to drive around I will gladly share a garage space with you on a short term stay. Guests staying a month or longer can have access to a garage space as well as storage for an extra cost. I will be there for you when you need me through text or in person. I'm a pretty social person but I understand that not everybody wants to be hanging out with their host so I am fine letting you discover the house on your own terms. There may be instructions left for checking in if I am not available to do so. Natural beauty abounds in Berwyn, because everybody has wonderful gardens in their front yard, and green space abounds. Berwyn is south of OakPark, and features a lot of unique regional architecture that is Bungalow focused. You can be in downtown Chicago in approximately 30 minutes by way of either Metra, or public transportation via the L. Berwyn is very close to Midway Airport, and you can be there in approximately 25 minutes via a car share. However, I will have to say, the city of Berwyn is a great alternative to staying in the city for these reasons: Located just 8 miles west of Chicago’s loop and has convenient access to the Eisenhower (I-290) and the Stevenson (I-55) Expressways and two major airports. Public transportation is also available via the CTA’s blue line “el” or the Metra BNSF line. The range of transportation options make commuting to work or planning a trip to attend one of Berwyn’s bustling business corridors or community events a snap. At the Center of Life in Chicago, Berwyn is in close proximity to anything you want to do in the Chicago area, including great access to Chicago sports events like the Blackhawks, Bears, Bulls, White Sox, Cubs and Fire. Berwyn is just minutes away from downtown Chicago and neighbors the Chicagoland communities of Oak Park, Forest Park, Riverside, La Grange, and Brookfield. Take some time to explore the many reasons Berwyn is the perfect spot to visit. My most recent guest told me to talk at the bar that's around this corner -which I will because I've checked it out and it's awesome super nice as well as I need to mention Freddy's which is three blocks away and as they go-the Italian deli of your dreams. If you are planning to work or travel to Chicago please note commute times.Car rides take you to downtown in approx 25 minutes. Metra seems to be the same. A bus stop is conveniently located outside the door, stopping at either the blue line, green line, or the Metra. Let me know if you have any allergies or any preferences to coffee making or tea or noise levels or anything else you think is important for me to know. Also, Please help yourself to kitchen utensils, glassware, and the refrigerator. Long term guests are expected to plan on a more formal arrangement for a month or longer. Although you can receive a discount, Amenities such as toiletries, breakfast food, clean linens are the responsibility of the guest after a week’s stay. Kitchen and laundry use are available. To preserve the beautiful wood flooring in this Bungalow I request that no shoes are worn in the house during your stay. Thank you for your consideration.
