Our private family residence is situated in close proximity to the Franconia-Springfield metro, providing convenient access to Washington DC via car or metro. In addition, it offers the chance to explore the scenic Virginia countryside. It is an ideal location for families and groups seeking to discover the area or enjoy a peaceful retreat. We warmly welcome you to share in the delight we experience living in this peaceful and secluded setting, while still being in the heart of Northern Virginia. Whether you are planning a family reunion, commemorating a special occasion, or exploring the nearby attractions of Washington, D.C., Calamo Creek provides all the amenities for a delightful and memorable stay. Our secluded residence features 7 bedrooms and 5.5 baths, complete with a fully equipped kitchen for preparing family meals on any special occasion. For those traveling with multiple families, the in-law suite in the basement includes a kitchenette, providing a separate space for meal preparation. There is dining room seating for 16 inside in the kitchen and dining room. Adjacent to the kitchen, our deck overlooks the tranquil Calamo Creek and accommodates outdoor dining for six. The deck is shaded by the mature trees surrounding our property and features a gas grill with an attached smoker, ideal for the grill masters in your group. The patio, accessed from the in-law suite or deck, is equipped with an outdoor fireplace and benches that convert into a picnic table, perfect for enjoying the serene outdoors. There is a hot tub for guests staying between the months of December- March. Our home offers sleeping accommodations equivalent to four master bedrooms, each furnished with a comfortable king-sized bed and located on every level of the house. Upstairs, in addition to the master bedroom with a private bath, there are two bedrooms featuring two full beds (one with a twin trundle bed underneath), sharing a jack and jill bathroom, a bedroom with a twin bed, a family sitting room with a pullout sofa, a half bath, and a full-size washer and dryer. On the main level, two king bedrooms share a jack and jill bathroom. On the other side of the house, the family room includes a lockable door and ample floor space, making it an ideal spot to set up a queen-size aero bed. A full bathroom is located just outside, making this space perfect for larger groups needing an extra room. The in-law suite in the basement features a king-size master bedroom, a sofa, and enough floor space for two queen-size aero beds. All beds are furnished with fresh linens and plush pillows to provide a comfortable and rejuvenating night's sleep. Our residence is conveniently located just 15 miles from Washington, D.C., near the intersection of I-395 and I-495, and a mere two miles from the Franconia-Springfield Metro Station, providing easy access to all the attractions in the Northern Virginia metro area. Within a five-minute drive, you'll find three grocery stores (Trader Joe's, Aldi's, and Giant), multiple restaurants serving cuisine from around the world, and the Springfield Town Center. Families with a Costco membership will find the Newington Costco just 3.5 miles away from our home. (As this is our primary residence, you may find our personal belongings in the closets and dressers, and some of our food stored in the refrigerator. If you require additional space during your stay, a second refrigerator is available in the basement for your convenience. ) Guest access You will have access to the whole home.
