Grace Cottage has been expertly re-designed to be a unique studio-style living space. It has one California king bed, a living area, large library, dining area and a fully-stocked kitchen space with a stove (no oven). There are also two sofa beds and a grand piano ~ a wonderful place to explore Waterford, the surrounding vineyards, and an opportunity to stay in one of the village's beautifully preserved properties. There is a dining area that seats and is equipped with service for 6. The kitchen has everything but an oven and is fully equipped for cooking and making coffee & cappuccino, pasta, and a glorious breakfast. The ceilings are 15' high and the bathroom has new fixtures and a glass door shower. There is central air and heat. There are two sitting areas and a desk, as well as about 1,000 books to choose from! Guests are given the entire use of Grace Cottage. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, we can only allow registered guests on the property. If you have someone who may visit but not spend the night, please be sure to include them in your guest count. I am happy to offer recommendations for places to visit, dine and hike nearby, and answer any questions at any time during your stay. A complete walking guide through Waterford, a National Historic Landmark, is left for you in Grace Cottage. For a fabulous hike to a charming little waterfall within the village, look no further than Phillips Farm ~ a gorgeous walk through preserved lands surrounding the Village, ending in a beautiful waterfall. Grace Cottage is a 5 minute walk to Village Winery which makes lovely wine and the very best Elderberry and Aronia non-alcholic juices. There is a neighborhood pool on Clarks Gap Road, on the way out of the village. Anyone can swim for a guest fee of $5/person. There is also a farm stand with organic fruits and veggies, freshly baked bread and eggs, in front of the Waterford Market on Second Street every Saturday from 9-11am during spring, Summer and Fall. There are two (if creative 3) parking spots on the property for guests. If additional parking is necessary please let me know as street parking along Main Street is respectfully reserved for home owners by village residents. Many will kindly offer up their space if requested, but I will need to request their indulgence. The Village of Waterford is 1 of only 2 places in the America where the entire village is listed as a National Historic Landmarks, for good reason.
