Welcome to my internationally-inspired home — The Detroit Global Getaway — located minutes from Downtown Dearborn! As your host, I am excited to share this beautifully designed space with you and help you make the most of your time in Michigan. This contemporary space is the perfect blend of comfort and style, with a nod to popular locations across the world and all the modern amenities you need to feel at home. The space What You’ll Experience The living room features comfortable seating, a large flat-screen TV, and plenty of natural light, making it the perfect space to relax after a day of exploring the city. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare your favorite meals during your stay, including stainless steel appliances, cookware, and utensils. There is also a dining area with a table and chairs where you can enjoy your meals. While you're exploring the area, you should also enjoy where you stay. The home features three bedrooms, each with a comfortable queen-sized bed and its own theme. Bedrooms have luggage racks, closet space, and windows that let in plenty of natural light. The location of this home is unbeatable. You’re a short drive from some of the best Middle Eastern food you can find in the U.S. (located in Downtown Dearborn), 10 minutes away from Greenfield Village, a 20-minute drive to Detroit where you’ll find a plethora of things to do including the Detroit Riverfront, Eastern Market, Belle Isle, and many museums, parks, and arenas. You’re also a 35-minute drive to Ann Arbor, home to the University of Michigan, and a 12-minute ride to the DTW airport. As your host, I am committed to making your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. See my reviews for more details. Guest access In addition to the spaces mentioned previously, guests will have access to laundry, which is located downstairs. Other things to note Space details: You will be renting the upstairs of this home. Downstairs is currently unavailable due to renovations, but once finished, it will be a studio apartment with a kitchen that can be rented for an additional fee. The outdoor back patio space is not available as it requires repairs. Please refrain from accessing it. In accordance with community guidelines, quiet hours are from 10:00pm-8:00am. Guests/visitors: Please note that the price of the booking does change based on the number of guests on your reservation. With that said, I've also had previous guests try to sneak in extra guests not on the reservation. Only the specific guests noted in the listing are allowed to stay on the property overnight. Additional guests will incur a fee of $75 per guest for each day in the original booking. Noise/party policy: Due to a handful of guests throwing parties and/or being excessively loud, we've had to enact a strict no-party/excessive noise policy that may include a fine. If parties are held or guests are excessively noisy, there may be a fine of up to $500 charged to the offending party (in addition to any damages or excessive cleaning needed). While we hate to be such sticklers and want to be as welcoming as possible, we have found this rule has greatly helped deter parties/excessive noise, and ensures everyone's quiet enjoyment of the space. Smoking: Smoking is absolutely not allowed inside. $500 penalty will be charged to anyone who smokes inside or close enough to the house with a door or window open so that the house smells of smoke on the inside. Pets/service animals: Due to property management personnel and potentially other guests having severe allergies, we are unable to accept pets or service animals in the home.
