Dear guests, Welcome to Karlsruhe-Hohenwettersbach. Tradition meets modernity. One of the probably smallest and oldest habitable 2-room houses with an area of approx. 40 m² in Karlsruhe in the "Tyrolean style" is located in a very quiet neighboring street. Let yourself be surprised by "My mini-house stone & wood" because it will enchant you. The space A stylishly furnished and listed mini-terrace house was built in the first half of the 18th century. At that time, it was owned by the Barons Schilling von Canstatt. The history of the accommodation The residents of the former day laborer's house were allowed to use the house against payment of an annual protection fee and special levies for church, school, fountain and services of certain Frondienste. Because of the modest living conditions of the residents at the time, the street was also popularly called "Suppengasse" (soup alley). Thus, not only the story is as interesting as the house itself. Ground floor On the first floor you will find the perfectly integrated kitchen, fully equipped with dishwasher, oven, ceramic stovetop with two hotplates, an extractor hood, a fridge with integrated freezer compartment. The fitted kitchen is new and equipped with high-quality electrical appliances from AEG (Dieter Knoll Collection). A Nespresso coffee maker, toaster, kettle from WMF, cutlery, dishes and pots are ready for you to create a small & fine meal. In the living and dining area, wooden floors, a stone wall and a relic from the past are built into the wall. Here is the dining table, made of marble with two chairs and a bench. Also a highlight: a real Tyrolean stove that heats the entire house if you want to heat with wood. The fireplace serves as a backrest, especially in winter this provides a pleasant warmth. Of course, normal radiators are also provided. The cozy sofa is extendable and has a lying area of 1.20 m x 1.90 m. A Samsung smart TV (The Frame) with around 150 public and private channels, has a diagonal of 80 cm and stands on an elegant USM Haller trolley. The lighting concept, the stone wall and the wooden floor were architecturally perfectly coordinated with the furniture in the living and dining area. Outside, right next to the house entrance, there is a small bench, which invites you to linger and is only used by you. Here you can comfortably drink your coffee or talk to the neighborhood. Attic and roof top In the attic is the small and fine daylight bathroom with shower tub and glass partition. Here you will find the 6 kg washing machine from Bauknecht, bathroom cabinets and a hair dryer. The dressing area, right next to the bathroom, is equipped with hangers and drawers. A large wall mirror ensures optimal dressing for the perfect working day. For your home office routine, the desk is right by the window. The Internet line (Wi-Fi) from Telekom ensures a speed of up to 100 Mbit/s download and up to 40 Mbit/s upload. In the attic there is a very romantically located sleeping niche. This can be reached via a ladder and equipped with a 1.40 m x 2 m Emma One spring mattress (test winner 2021 by Stiftung Warentest).
