Description

When comparing rates, know that all lodging taxes are included in the base price on our listing. Striking Architecture and Distinctive Interior Features Step into the cabin and be greeted by a breathtaking full wall of windows and an artistic wood slice accent, showcasing the impressive 28-foot tall A-frame structure. The cabin’s design blends rustic charm with modern functionality, offering several distinctive features. The first floor houses a suspended, porch-swing style queen bed, a rolling bookcase door, and a live-edge drop-down dining table—all contributing to the cabin’s unique character. In the bathroom, discover a large red slipper tub with a soothing rainfall shower, set against a repurposed slate wall for a touch of elegance. Modern Amenities for Comfort and Convenience The cabin is outfitted with a fully equipped galley-style kitchen, making meal preparation simple and enjoyable. Stained concrete flooring stretches across the first floor, while sliding patio doors and two sets of functional French doors invite natural light and fresh air. A third set of French doors serves as a scenic backdrop for the suspended log bed. Upstairs in the loft, a cozy reading area features Amish-built rockers, perfect for watching sunsets, accompanied by a comfortable queen log bed. Essential Utilities and Thoughtful Details Guests enjoy the benefit of fresh spring water, sourced from a private multi-home spring water system and heated on demand, ensuring hot water is always available. Every detail has been considered to enhance your stay and provide a seamless experience. Outdoor Spaces and Recreational Amenities The outdoor area offers a private round hot tub, a park-style charcoal grill nestled within cultured stone, and a propane fire pit for relaxing evenings. The front deck features built-in benches, a patio table and seating, and is surrounded by “Mom’s” flower garden, creating a peaceful retreat environment. The property is secluded yet conveniently close to Hocking Hills Parks and local attractions, allowing you to enjoy privacy without sacrificing access to nearby adventures. Expansive Grounds and On-Site Activities Roam several acres of the 67-acre farm, with highlights including Lance’s Pond and a fishing shack stocked with fishing poles and basic tackle for catch-and-release fishing. The cabin provides an ideal setting for newlyweds, anniversaries, birthday celebrations, and other special occasions, and we are honored to be a part of your cherished memories. Accommodation Details and Policies This cabin comfortably sleeps up to four guests and can be rented alongside our five-star rated Cabin on the Hill (www.vrbo.com/974622) to accommodate up to 10 guests in total. • Base price is for two guests; a nightly fee applies to each additional guest. • Renters must be 25 years or older and provide a valid ID. • No parties are permitted. • Unregistered guests will result in immediate eviction without refund, or immediate payment will be required for each unregistered guest. • The cabin is not suited to small children due to its location, steep library loft ladder, and high railings. • Pets are not allowed for their safety and that of resident animals, despite our love for animals. • All other restrictions are detailed in the Rental Agreement. Local Attractions and Activities For those wishing to explore Hocking Hills State Parks, the cabin is a short drive from several parks, with a private trail accessible on the property’s hilltop. Horseback riding is available less than a mile away at the Spotted Horse Ranch. Canoeing, rafting in nearby Logan, and rock climbing at High Rock Adventures in Rockbridge are easily accessible. Local conveniences in Laurelville—just three miles away—include grocery stores, gas stations, eateries, the world-famous Laurelville cider, and The Ridge Inn famous for Jo’s donuts. The cabin provides the perfect blend of seclusion and convenience, ensuring nearby attractions remain out of sight as you retreat into tranquility. Nature Exploration and Leisure on the Property Enjoy on-site activities such as hiking the trails overlooking the canyon, barns, and pond, or try your hand at fishing for bluegill, bass, or the occasional turtle from the dock on the spring-fed pond using our homemade cane poles. Bait is available in Laurelville, or you can use a piece of hot dog to catch a bluegill. Bring hiking boots to explore the panoramic views from the top of the big hill or spread out a blanket and picnic to take in the one-of-a-kind scenery.
