Description
Chimney Cottage offers the ideal tranquil dog friendly accommodation for those seeking to explore the truly breath-taking landscapes of the Holme Valley, or the delights of the Peak District. Less than two miles away is the stunning market town of Holmfirth, recently featured on Channel 5's Yorkshire Great & Small and commonly known for the TV series, The Last of the Summer Wine. There you will find independent shops, bars and restaurants, as well as a live music venue, the Picturedrome. The space The cottage, which sleeps three, provides a great luxury village style accommodation for those seeking a cosy and tranquil rural getaway. As owners of two dachshunds, we know how important it is to find dog friendly accommodation that is done to a high standard. Chimney Cottage has been designed with you and your fur babies in mind and up to two dogs can stay at no additional cost. Lounge/kitchen: The wooden floor, log burning stove and stone fireplace creates an ultimate spot for a cosy evening in front of the fire. There is a fully equipped kitchen/breakfast bar with a kettle, toaster, cafetiere, pans, microwave, induction hob, fridge, freezer and washing machine. We provide tea towels, washing liquid and wash tabs for the washing machine, as well as kitchen roll, kitchen foil and baking paper. The cottage offers free Wi-Fi and the lounge has a smart TV which can be used to access your own accounts eg Netflix. There is also a wide selection of books and leaflets available on walks and things to do in the area. On arrival you will receive a welcome pack consisting of ready to burn logs and firelighters, fresh milk, tea, coffee and sugar. Master bedroom: Located at the front of the cottage, you can enjoy a comfortable king-size bed with Dorma bedding, open wooden beams and a roof light window. We provide an iron/ironing board and hairdryer for use during your stay. A smart TV, feature stone fireplace, wardrobe and drawers completes this room and sets you up for a great night’s sleep. Single bedroom: The second smaller bedroom has a single bed, drawers and bedside table. We also provide a few books for those looking for a bedtime story. We do have a travel cot (you will need to bring your own bedding) and a high chair for the very young ones. Bathroom: The property has a step up waterfall like shower in the bathroom (which those with mobility restrictions may find difficult, but a handrail is available), a toilet and large Burlington hand basin. It has a small enclosed patio area at the front of the property, with a bistro table and chairs. There is also a water tap and hose for those with green fingers, muddy boots or mucky pups.
