City ID # 1822 The space A covered cabana makes for the perfect reading nook if you need to get out of the sun, and the custom built fire pit is the ideal space to watch the sunset behind the mountains or gaze up at the stars at night. Inside the home, a spacious living room, connected dining space, and open kitchen come together to create a central gathering spot for family or friends. The large sliding doors create a seamless experience between the indoors and outdoors. Step out each morning into the private lawn. Each bedroom is equipped with a full size TV, closet space, and unique local art. House of the Sun rests in the prestigious Racquet Club Estates, a charming enclave of Alexander homes, built in the mid-1950s. The house is 5 minutes drive from downtown Palm Springs and walking distance to a variety of restaurants, bars, and Victoria Park. As of January 2024, we're thrilled to announce the addition of an above-ground jacuzzi in our beautiful backyard, exclusively for guest use. This fantastic addition is designed to elevate your stay and provide a perfect spot for relaxation. Please note that additional fees for heating apply for both the pool & hot tub. The House of the Sun features: - 3 bedrooms, with a king bed in the main bedroom, and 2 queens in the guest rooms - 2 full bathrooms - 1 desk area - ** BBQ grill is available - Retro minifridge and bar cart - Open floor plan throughout the public areas of the home which receives a ton of natural lighting - Large sliding glass doors open up to the outdoor lawn and pool area - 4 areas of outdoor seating and dining - Washer & dryer - Fast charging outlet for electric vehicles - Pool & Jacuzzi Guest access Guests will have access to the entire home and the driveway to park (2 spots). There will be no one else on the property, other than the occasional gardener and pool man, unless otherwise discussed with you in advance. Guests will be given a code to enter the home Other things to note Per city regulations, all guests are required to sign the Palm Springs Statement of Rules and Regulations and Good Neighbor Brochure prior to their stay. Compliance with these rules is mandatory throughout your visit. Failure to adhere to these regulations will result in fines, with a minimum penalty of $500, which your party will be fully responsible for. Repeated violations may lead to additional fines and immediate eviction. These rules are strictly enforced by the City of Palm Springs, and by booking this property, you acknowledge and agree to these terms. This is a family-friendly home and not suitable for parties of any kind. Open Air Homes is setting a new standard for the short term rental industry. Our property management team cares for each home, and our goal is to have each home properly maintained before you step foot in the home. We make your check in and check out process a breeze, and simply ask you to turn off the lights/AC and lock up on departure. This property has a private pool and a separate above ground hot tub that can be heated during your stay. Below are our current heating options (each requires a 2-day minimum): Hot Tub/Above ground only. This hot tub will run continuously, there is no scheduling required. Standard heating up to 101°F. It heats within an hour. When not heated, the hot tub keeps temperature of 80 degrees. $75 per day. Pool Heating Only. Standard pool heating up to 84 degrees. $100 per day Combo. Combined Highest Pool heating up to 90 degrees/hot tub up to 101 degrees. $150 per day Pool is heated and controlled by staff/pool tech. This is billed separately and must be confirmed and paid before arrival. Please let us know at the time of booking if you choose this option. Minimum 2-days of heat required OTHER IMPORTANT INFO: By booking with us, you agree to sign our Rental Agreement. You understand that your check-in instructions will be sent after successfully signing our Rental Agreement. Please note that in the State of CA, guests staying over 30 nights are legally required to sign a legal CAR form with the DRE. Our Broker of Record will send you this CAR form for signature once payment is made. Your reservation will be considered ready to go once the form is signed! There is a 10-day grace period to return any items taken from the home at check-out (keys, garage remotes, etc). Replacement costs will be charged to guests if items are not received within 10 days of check-out. Please note that this is a non-smoking property. Any violation of the no-smoking policy will result in a minimum $250 fine. Additional fees are required for pool/spa heat if applicable, please reach out to Reservations for more details. Utility Usage: Utilities are included up to the property’s recent average usage. Any excessive use above that amount may result in additional charges.
