Welcome to Cool Creek Cottage! Unwind at this renovated creekside cottage located 8 miles from Penn State and enjoy fly-fishing on Spring Creek in Fisherman’s Paradise. Enjoy the creek views from the hot tub! Whether you are here to fish, visit Penn State, or reunite with friends or family, Cool Creek Cottage is your oasis! The space Cool Creek Cottage is a 788 sq ft historic home that has been renovated and brought back to life as a unique boutique vacation retreat. Enjoy the unmatched views of Spring Creek from our 5-person hot tub! Even before stepping inside the cottage, you will notice an outdoor pavilion with 5-person hot tub and fire pit (wood not supplied) with 4 Adirondack chairs. 1ST FLOOR: The living room has a full wall of windows facing the creek. On a nice day, it is such a treat to have the windows open to hear the peaceful sounds of the water. Lounge on the lush green velvet sofa or one of the accent chairs! A Smart TV is available in this room where you can access your own streaming accounts - not supplied by Cool Creek. Wifi internet is available and the log in information can be found in our house manual. There is a small bedroom on the first floor right off the living room which features a set of twin bunk beds. ***Each bunk bed holds a MAX weight of 250lbs. In the kitchen you will find a butcherblock breakfast bar, refrigerator, oven, stove, microwave, Keurig coffee maker, pots and pans, hickory cabinetry, and granite countertops. 2ND FLOOR: The primary bedroom features a Queen bed, Smart TV (again, no cable or local channels), floating nightstands and modern wall sconces. The full bathroom features a shower, single sink vanity and plenty of white plush towels. The third bedroom has a set of twin bunk beds as well. **Each bunk bed holds a MAX weight of 250lbs. AC is provided to all bedrooms and is seasonal from April/May until October/November. The windows open in the lower level and provide wonderful ventilation along with the sounds of the creek. Guest access Prior to arrival, we will send you the entry code to Cool Creek Cottage. The main entrance has a smart lock for a seamless arrival. The home has 4 parking spaces available for guests. There is no street parking as the road is very narrow. Other things to note *Guests have full access to the entire cottage. *During below freezing temps, the hot tub might have a difficult time getting super hot! *The outdoor furniture tends to get dusty/covered in pollen/leaves etc even though we will wipe things down prior to your arrival! It's just a consequence of living next to a creek in a wooded area! *Early check in or late check out (pending availability) available as an optional enhancement only, inquire for pricing. Otherwise please respect incoming guests and our cleaning team and be prompt for check out. *Be sure to register all guests staying/present in the home. Airbnb has strict rules about added guests. The space is intended and priced for max 6 guests. *We welcome families with children of any age. However if you have babies or very young children, please note that the house has not been "child-proofed" and we are located right on a road across from a body of water. *NO PETS are allowed at Cool Creek Cottage. Our neighbors do a great job of letting us know if they see any pets at the property. *As a part of check out procedures, guests are responsible for making sure all personal belongings are collected. Host is not responsible for forgotten/left behind items. *PARTIES ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED. *We have installed security cameras at each entry of Cool Creek Cottage.
