Recently renovated, the estate consists of the Queen Anne Main House spread over 3 floors with over 20 bedrooms. In order to provide for and fund the maintenance and upkeep of this Grade I listed protected historic monument, select private stays and events may be allowed by prior arrangement on the grounds of the estate, the victorian wing, outbuildings and some sections of the main house. To this day – over 300 years since its construction – Hinwick House retains many of its original features, dating back to its initial construction. While Hinwick House remains a family home, numerous features of the house and estate now require special care and preservation. The family that currently owns Hinwick House believes that they are simply the current custodians of great piece of England's incredible heritage. It must, therefore, be preserved with great loving care so that the generations to come may derive the same joy from its beauty, as those that have done so before them. Hinwick House has recently been through a 2-year program of sympathetic repair and restoration. Over 120 skilled artisans and craftsman worked daily, to lovingly restoring the house to the height of its formal glory. Greater resources have been dedicated to the house than ever before in the 300 years since its initial construction. The valuable works of art and antiques connected with Hinwick House have been traced to collections across the world, re-purchased and returned to their original place at the house. Hinwick House has one of the largest collections of antique Persian rugs, with over 150 priceless rugs decorating the property. There are also seven custom made grand chandeliers – of the highest quality bohemian crystal – that have been custom assembled and installed by skilled craftsmen on the site. Period furniture includes pieces from the collection of Althorp, the original family home of Princess Diana.
