Description
The Little Blue Farmhouse is a perfect escape for anyone looking for a peaceful visit to the Mendocino Coast. The house, built from old growth redwoods in the 1860s, will take you back in time...to a time when the Caspar Lumber Company was in full swing. Historical photos and stories are provided for those interested in stepping back in time. Caspar is an an inviting community today. Walk to a beach and the very accessible Caspar Headlands. The sounds of nearby sea lions are delightful! The space The house has been recently renovated with intention to keep the rustic charm/historic feel of the home. The kitchen is appointed for cooks (All Clad pots/pans and so much more). There (depending on your carrier) won't be continuous cell service available at the house (readily available in town), but the Starlink wifi is strong! We have also put in a landline in case it is needed. We have provided a high quality projector for watching movies (we have an extensive collection to choose from). The wood burning fireplace is the main source of heat in the house. There is a wall heater in the kitchen and bathroom for your convenience. You will need to be comfortable lighting a fire for heat in the main portion of the house. We will provide fatwood, firewood and a propane torch (for easy lighting) for your visit. Other things to note Be sure to check out "Good Bones" the restaurant at the Caspar Hub (just a short walk down the street). The food is great and you will get a sense of the Caspar community while there. This is where the locals love to gather and celebrate each other and the coast.
